If you are looking for a caribbean holiday on a perfect beach in fine accomodation then look no further. I spent a week in Sandals Antigua for my honeymoon last year and was highly impressed. The hotels location could not be better, situated directly on one of the islands best beaches, with the restaurants overlooking the sea. Sandals is a fairly large, all-inclusive hotel. A variety of rooms are available, ranging from the simply luxurious, to the super luxurious suites. Our room fell somewhere between these two extremes and offered air-conditioning (essential), TV, and best of all a terrace which led directly to a small pool which few other guests seemed to know about. The sea was just beyond this pool giving us a great sea view, and the convenience of the pool. There are around 5 restaurants to choose between, all were excellent. All drinks except some more expensive wines are included with your stay. This includes branded sprits, giving a great opportunity to try all of those interesting bottles you havent got around to tasting yet. The one possible drawback of the resort is that it can seem a bit, well, tacky. Not as in cheap tacky, but somewhat lacking in sophistication or chic. The resort is also expensive, but with all the watersports (including scuba tuition) included it is worth it, for a honeymoon certainly. On the topic of honeymoons, at least 90% of couples we met were on their honeymoon, so perhaps not the ideal choice if you dont want to be surrounded by newlyweds. We also spent a week in Sandals Halcyon St.Lucia, this was also great, but of the two I would choose Antigua. In summary, I would go back tomorrow - If someone else was paying.
