Belize is a very small English-speaking country in Central America. What stroke me most was the umazing mixture of races and its climate.
This is a country for the adventurous traveller, there are very little paved roads and it is not easy to find a decent accomodation at cheap prices.
As some other commentators highlighted, security can be an issue at night.
Although food is much more expensive because it needs to be brought from mainland, you can still have a huge lobster for $10-15.
