Fifty five kilometers northeast of TAGBILARAN CITY, the provincial capital of Bohol, is one of the most famous natural attractions of the Philippine archipelago.
Once, a total of 1,268 "CHOCOLATE HILLS" grew up from corals. Two were "stolen by men", carrying away sand and gravel for road repair in Carmen. Then, another of the hills wer fount partly "eaten" of fed, rather to concrete producing machines ..... ignoring that the National Committee on ... ...National Geological Monument.
Due to the road conditions, the approximate travel time between Tagbilaran and CARMEN would be about 90 minutes or more. After 213 steps up the hill, one can reach the observation deck on one Hill - with exquisite panoramic views - that is Chcoloate Hills as far as they eyes can see. The second Hill is home to a hotel with a restaurant, swimming pool and accommodations for up to 70 guests.

Advantages: Easy to tour the Island in One Day Disadvantages: Not really recommended for Children
The easiest way to view Bohol Island is to hire an Air Conditioning L500 Taxi, which includes the driver and a full tank of fuel. The prices ranges from two thousand to three thousand pesos per vehicle, and can seat up to eight passengers. You will find these available mainly from ports of seacrafts arriving from other Island in the Philippines. Our experience started from Ubay around eleven o'clock in the morning, arriving from Bato in Leyte on ... ...an L500 Air Conditioning Hyundia People's Carrier. There are plenty of Pantalon Pier restaurants to choose from of Filipino cuisines and are very reasonable in prices. We had two plates of fried chicken and two large plates of rice for about seventy pesos between four adults and two children. The children ages of my daughter was three and a half years old and my son only three months old, so the food was plenty to fill us up for the journey around ...
