I also went to Sunny Beach on holiday last year with my husband and had an absolutely wonderful time. Of course Bulgaria is a poor country but anyone who has been to Turkey will also know what it is like to have locals trying to sell you something you don't want. We just shook our heads and walked on. The hotel we stayed in was great, very clean and all of the staff were more than helpful. We stayed in Bulgaria and spent less than £300 which I think is marvelous when you take into account we ate out every night and brought lots of presents home for everyone. I even recommended it as a holiday destination for my daughter and son in law and my 2 grandchildren, one of whom is only a toddler, if I believed they would not be safe or the place was un hygenic I would not have done this. A lovely 2 weeks.
