I went To Cyprus On the 27th Dec to spend a fortnight there with my boyfriend who is based in the army there. We stayed in Larnaca which is a quiet area of Cyprus but you can hit a few pubs and clubs if you take a short taxi ride into the Town Centre. Limassol is only an hr away and Aiya Napa is just 45 mins away if you want a busy nightlife. I spent New Year in Limassol and it was great with fireworks in the street and cheap drinks in the pubs. This is a great place to go and I will be returning for a holdiday there in Summer. The weather was nice even in December/January and I can't wait to go back there for the real heat in July. Cyprus is ideal for just about anybody and there are great opportunities to travel while you are there. I went to Egypt by boat for 3 days and it was a bargain at just £80 each. If it's scenery you want then I can tell you the sea is lovely, the beaches are great and the sunsets are to die for. I have a few good photographs that I am currently working off - painting and drawing. For both a quiet holiday and a lively one, Cyprus is the place to go. You can pick your areas if you want a bit of peace and quiet or if you want the busy nightlife. I recommend Aiya Napa for a lively holiday, Limassol for a bit of both and Larnaca for the peace and quiet and of course how can we forget - the soldiers are in Larnaca for all you women who like men in uniform! Overall, the ale is cheap, the weather is good and the people are nice. Cyprus is the place to be for anyone - young or old - single or married. There is something for everyone in Cyprus!!!

Advantages: Quite cheap, excellent beaches, hotels and nightclubs, many historic sites Disadvantages: Might get too warm, please don't visit the north.
