Having just come back from 3 weeks travelling around egypt, I,ve got a few tips for anyone planning to travel around Eygpt. If your the sort of person who suffers from a doddgy stomach, then avoid;RICE, SALADS, WATERMELON (OR OTHER FRUIT ALREADY CUT UP) DRINKS BOUGHT FROM STANDS ON THE STREETS, ICE CREAM. this is because they use there tap water to wash or make these foods and there tap water is not that good. If you do get ill, dont use english medicines go to the local chemist and buy there products, as they are designed for there climates and stuff, english products wont help you they will make you worse, having said all this i wold thoroughly recommend egpyt.

Advantages: Close to the Egyptian Museum and other interesting places Disadvantages: Compared to the other hotels it was on the expensive side - but well worth it
