We went to Florida in the summer to do Disney. Whilst there we saw many good things. The rides and 3D movies are hard to fault, for example, and breakfast alone merits a paragraph. Disadvantages: Rain in August!!!!

I went to Florida in August 2005. What a fantastic place to go. We booked this holiday via the teletext and got a fly/drive deal at a really good price. Make sure you have a look on teletext before you go to the high street travel agents!!! The difference in price is terrible. We booked the 1st 2 nights via the internet before we left home, so we knew once we got there we had somewhere to rest and get over the jet lag. I must admit, I didnt suffer ...

...My CIAO screen name should give an indication that although I come from the UK side of the pond, I have some predilection for the Sunshine State. I have spent many happy holidays in and around Walt DisneyWorld (WDW) in Florida. My first visit was back in 1980 and this year will mark my twenty fifth return. During that time I have seen, done and worn most of the T-shirts and have also explored many of the bits that one-time visitors just don't have the time to see and would not think to ask about. This review is something of a retrospective on my part but I also hope that I can pass on a hint or two that may make someone's next trip that little bit more entertaining. FIRST THINGS FIRST. Advantages: Caring company, brilliant destinations
Disadvantages: Use only Virgin Atlantic which is a major disadvantage if flying from Manchester

...Being a member of Virgin Holiday Club you may think I am a bit biased when writing this report but this is not the case, I can assure you, ( see my report on Virgin Atlantic Airways) ~~o0o~~ In writing this opinion my remarks DO NOT INCLUDE Virgin Atlantic Airways which are a different part of the Virgin Empire, I am merely talking about Virgin Holidays only.. Advantages: good flight,crew and food
Disadvantages: Flagship hotels are not what you would expect from Virgin

...£600.00 each,but this hotel compared to anywhere else that I have stayed was not to a standard that I expected.I expected a clean bright external room.This was not the case. The taxi to take us to the new hotel never arrived..we waited for 45 minutes..I walked my husband and son and luggage was taken by a lovely night porter in his pick up truck... We stayed at the new hotel for the remainder of the holiday ...This all happened because the customer service staff did not pass on important information to the hotel and they misled me...we were next door to the music and we had a terrible room...The hotels in Florida are generally away from public transport a Car is Essential....the free transport is limited and can and does leave you stranded..if you use the free transport to Disney etc..you are unable to return to your hotel untill...
