I know greece very well,since both my parents have lived there for their whole life.I have been almost everywhere,so I thought of writing this opinion in order to let you know what to expect from the city or island you choose to go. If you visit athens,you will find yourself in a city full of history and beauty.Nightlife and food are great,it is true though that it is the most polutted capital of europe. Thessaloniki:Great city!Full of magic!Extremely romantic!I suggest you visit it during springtime or early autumn.The view from the tower in the middle of the town,is great! Myconos:Beautiful island.Appropriate for people who love clubbing and drinking.Many celebrities choose it for their holidays. Crete:Great nightlife,suitable both for family and for "wild" vacations.An island full of history. Amorgos:One of the most romantic places in the world.Watch the "Big Blue",it was shot on this island. Corfu:Family holidays,great beaches,delicious food. Kos: Cheap touristic island,you can hardly find any greeks there!All the clubs and bars are owned by Scandinabians or British.

Sorry about the poor rating - as an avid traveller and big fan of Spain, I have been considering Greece as a possibility for a number of years, but cannot decide where to go, this would not have helped me decide. you need to talk about scenery, resorts, places of interest, quality of hotels, best time to visit, availability of facilities such as water parks (scarce in Greece I believe), quality of beaches, all these things make for interestin reading and are lacking from this op. if you decide to update, please let me know and I will happily rerate. Can I suggest reading and rating some of the excellent ops on the site, which will help give you guidance on what constitutes a good op, and will ultimately help you write better ops and get more and better ratings.

Giving your ideas on various Greek islands etc was a good idea, but you haven't included enough information to make it helpful to people who are thinking of whether to visit these places or not. Your review needs to be broken down into paragraphs - not just one chunk of text! It makes it so tedious to read and is really off-putting. You hardly give any information on the places you have mentioned. You should suggest names of places to visit, what the beaches are like, how cheap dining out is.....all the things people are interested in knowing about when they are thinking of visiting somewhere. There is so much more that you can write - especially as you boasted your parents have so much knowledge of that area. Why don't you ask them to tell you more about these places? ~Deenie~
