Advantages Great food, great nature, great culture!

Disadvantages A civic war ruined much.

I just want to say that you should ignore "Length of visit, Daily budget and size of group".

Lebanon is called the pearl of the middle-east
and is one of the most beautiful countries in the middle-east. In the year 1985 a civic war accrued in Lebanon that would last to 1991. This civic war changed everything in the country. Before the war Lebanon was visited by famous celebrities and rich people and it was a very glamorous country in it’s best years. Now after the war much is changed but Lebanon is still an exceptional country.

In Lebanon there are a lot of Christians and before the war the Christians was actually in majority of the people. Lebanon is very different from other Arab countries because Lebanon is much more open and tourist friendly. For every day that goes by, Lebanon grows to be a greater country and Lebanon has actually been greatest in the world for some things like journalistic. For example Lebanon has some really famous newspapers that don’t focus on spreading bad information about the western world like other Arab newspapers. Some of these newspapers are “The Daily Star”, “L´Orient-Le Jour” and “An-Nahar”.

The biggest languages in Lebanon are Arabic and French. So you will get most out of you vacation if you know one of these but English is fine to.

Now that I have told a bit about some history it’s time to tell you about all you can do in Lebanon.

Lebanon has an amazing climate, because while in some places you can rest in the sun and smell at the lovely cent from the Mediterranean, you can ski in the mountains. Also in the mountains you can look at thee amazing Cedar trees. For thousands of years ago Lebanon exported Cedars to countries like Egypt because Cedar was and is one of the most special trees in the world and they grow only in the mountains of Lebanon.

You most absolutely NOT miss Balbeek in the Beeka-valley. Balbeek is the largest roman building ever built and you can see its ruins in the Beeka-Valley. It is as much a mystery how the people built the building as how the Egyptians built the pyramids.

Then you can see one of the oldest cities in the world, “Byblos” that is at least 7000 years old.
You also have to see the famous casino in Beirut.

One of the best things you can do when you are in Lebanon is to eat, hehe that sounds pretty funny but Lebanese is according to many people all over the world the tastiest food ever. In fact almost all Arabic food you can eat no matter if you are in Iraq, Syria or whatever the food is originally from Lebanon. You’ve probably heard about “meza” that is many small dishes that you can drink “arak” with. Arak is a alcohol drink that you mix with water.

If you love food, culture nature, friendly people and much more then Lebanon is where you should go. And if you have decided that you are going to the middle-east but not where then stop thinking because Lebanon is absolutely best.
