I stayed here in January 2007 and I have to say it was pure paradise. We were taken to the island by seaplane. Once we got there we were welcomed by the friendly staff who gave us a refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail. Our bags were taken and we were shown our room and our bags arrived not too long after.
Our room was a standard room with an enclosed bathroom and no tv, but it wasnt needed. The rooms were spotless and were cleaned every day by the maid. We had our own veranda and sunloungers which we moved to our own little quiet spot on the beach. This is what I loved about the island, the fact that it was small, and you could walk around it in 30 mins but it was quiet, peaceful and tranquil and you could find your own little quiet spot on the beach with noone else around.
The beach was beautiful white sand and the sea was out of this world! Crystal clear and on the 1st night we saw baby sharks in the shallow waters aswell as other sealife. That was a regular occurence throughout our holiday, the sealife is just amazing!
The staff on this island were wonderful, the most friendly people you could meet and we were given the same table for our entire stay, for breakfast, dinner and lunch and the same waiter. Our waiter was brilliant, always attentive and friendly. And the food, oh the food was amazing definately the best food I have ever had on a holiday. It was fresh and the variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day was outstanding. I could not fault the food at all, it really was good!
Daytime activities included snorkelling, table tennis, kayaking and diving. If you are a keen diver, this really is the place to go. I didnt dive myself but just from sitting on the beach I was lucky enough to see full grown sharks and dolphins!
Part of the holiday package was nightime fishing which was brilliant. I had never fished before but thoroughly enjoyed it and managed to catch a barracuda!
We also did a trip to another resort and to an island inhabited by the locals which had lots of shops you could buy souveniers from.
There wasnt any nightime entertainment but that wasnt what I was there for. In the evening we would go and play some pool and then chill at the sunset bar drinking cocktails and see the large fish that used to swim by the shore at night.
This holiday is for people who want a wuiet, realxing peaceful holiday. Although I had no tv I wasnt in the slightest bit bored and was just in awe at how beautiful this island was. I would highly recommend it to anyone. In fact, the only reason I would not want people to go is because I want to preserve its beauty and would love to go back and for it to still remain unspoilt!

I would love to go to the Maldives but with a 3 year old daughter I think we may have to wait a while.
