Singapore is well known as the fine city in the world. It is located in South East Asia.
Arriving in Changi Airport, you will be amazed by the arrangement and the cleanness inside. Yup, Of Course, you can not throw the rubbish anywhere you like. If you did it, I am sure an office will come across you and fine you. So be careful.
If you are a shopaholic, I am very sure that you will like Singapore city. There are a lot huge Shopping center there. But, be careful with your credit card. You might be over limit.
Orchad Road is the most well know area in Singapore. There are a lot huge shopping center, food point and hotel. However, if you go for budget holiday, I can suggest you not to shop at orchad shopping center. The price of the items, are a bit higher compare to the others shopping center, but of course you will get a very high quality of branded items there.
It is really easy to get around in Singapore. They have a very good public transport. However, for budget holiday, I suggest you take MRT (Mass Rapid Transport ) or Buses. Taxi in Singapore, are a little bit expensive.
BUDGET HOTEL IN SINGAPORE.
There are a lot of Budget Hotel in Singapore. If you want to find a good budget hotel, I suggest you to stay at "Frangrance Rose" Hotel or "Hotel 81". Both of the hotel has a good service and a clean rooms. Although the rooms can be quite small, but there are enough space for 2 people in one rooms. Fragrance Rose Hotel is located at Novena area, which only 2 stop from orchad MRT station. While, Hotel 81 is located in Bugis, Chinatown and Geylang area. You can choose which area you want to stay. I suggest you to stay in Bugis Area, since it has more places for you to go.
BUDGET SHOPPING IN SINGAPORE
China town area might be one of the good choice for you. In China Town you can enjoy a variety of Singapore Culture and Indian Culture, You can shop a variety of Uniquely Singapore Souvenir. The easiest way to go to China Town is by taking MRT. You van also take bus, but you need to make sure the bus number and direction before you get in to the bus.
The second place to go is Boat Quay. You can enjoy the Singapore River view from Boat Quay. You also can visit Singapore historical Museum to get to know more about Singapore history. The fee to go in to Singapore Historical Museum is $3 for adult.
Next, you can continue to go to Bugis. It is one of the famous area in Singapore. You can buy a cheap bag, souvenir, accessories or food in the Bugis night market which is called "pasar makan" in Malay word.
The next destination is City Hall area. There, you can enjoy a unique building called "Esplanade Theater on the bay". You can also go to the "Fortune Fountain" which located inside the shopping center. For the people who likes to read the book, try to enter Singapore National Library. There are a lot of books that you can read on.
BUDGET FOOD IN SINGAPORE
Almost every shopping center has a food point. If you feel hungry after shopping, you can just stop at food point for meal. The price range at shopping center food point are SGD4 - SGD8 and the beverage range from SGD1.7- SGD3.5
If you prefers the cheaper meal, then you can go to the Singapore Hawker Center. The food price range from SGD2 - SGD6 and the beverage range from SGD1 - SGD2.
If you like to eat seafood. You can go to Marina Bay to eat "All You Can Eat Fresh Sea Food". The price is not too expensive. It is around SGD14, not include the beverage and tax.
I suggest you to try the Unique Singapore food such as Chilly Crab, satay, Hokkien Noodle, Fried Kwee Tiao, Ban Mian, Nasi Bryani, Fish Head Curry and many more.
The last but not least, You also should try Sugar Cane Juice. You can find it almost at every Hawker Center and food point.
