My boyfriend and I currently live in Sweden (see my review 'Living in Sweden' if you want to know why!) and for 7 days this summer we decided to head off on an adventure driving and camping along the south coast of Sweden. I have a trusty Rough Guide book of Sweden which has been like a bible whilst living here, as I am constantly referring to it. Before we left for our trip I had a read through to check which places we should visit along the way, ... ...we would be going and what we would see….
So come and join us on our 'Southern Sweden Adventure 2005' as we seemed to keep calling it for some reason!! There are photos and a map below too.
**Day 1**
We were supposed to set off early but after we had hauled all of our bags of camping gear, boxes of food, clothes, deckchairs, BBQ etc down five flights of stairs to the car it was a little later than we had planed! The sun was shining for the first ...

Advantages: Clean, clean, clean!!! friendly locals, good transport, beautiful atmosphere-natural and cultural Disadvantages: Expensive
I don't know, but I've always had a great desire to go to Sweden. Scandanavia has always been so appealing...so different and interesting! And my wish came true back in April when i finally got on the plane with 3 of my friends, heading for Sweden!
It was cold leaving London...rainy and completely miserable! And leaving to go to a famously known cold country....we expected bitterly cold weather. So we packed loads of winter clothes, only to find ... ...beautiful warm weather, and that's how it stayed pretty much for the 4 days we were there for. When we landed, we'd already fallen in love with Sweden even though it was the first time any of us had ever been there. There was forest everywhere and no carrier bags flyinf about or anything!
Sweden is probably one of the cleanest...if...THE cleanest city in the world! Honestly and no joke, i did not see an ounce of dirt anywhere for the first 2 days ...

Advantages: beautiful landscape, friendly people, relaxed atmosphere Disadvantages: very expensive
I have absolutely no right to write an opinion about Sweden. Believe me, this time I really don't have a clue. All I know about Sweden is based on 21 hours and 20 minutes I have spent there between 09.30 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2000 (arrival of SAS 1626 from Düsseldorf) and 06.50 a.m. on Sunday, November 19 (departure of SAS 401 to Copenhagen).
My friend Alba from Albania (the name is no joke!) had invited me to join her for my birthday on ... ...the time we spent together in bed and you end up with around ten hours in which I had a chance to actually take a look at this country.
Okay, I do know just a little more about Sweden: I have got a Best Of album by ABBA. I have assembled a handful of IKEA bookshelfs. I have worked with Swedes. And I once had a one-night-stand with a Swedish girl, I think her name was Anna, that was in Rome, 1991. But so have thousands of other blokes, and this would ...

I visited Sweden at Christmas in 1997. If you want to rekindle the magic of Christmas even for an adult this is the place to go. Having said that, Sweden really is two destinations rolled into one package, depending on the time of year that you decide to go. I went to meet up with an old army friend of mine who had left the forces for a new life in Sweden with his Swedish wife. The first thing that hit me when I arrived at Lulu International Airport ... ...different kind of cold, a very dry cold, which surprised me as I had always imagined extreme temperatures, and did not think that I would be going out that much. But it was quite bearable. I then travelled down to Kalix Nyborg, which is at the top end of Sweden on the Artic circle, and about an hour and a half’s drive from Finland. I found Sweden was very expensive for certain things, if you are looking for a booze tour, forget it, unless you ...

Advantages: Beautiful country, beautiful women! Disadvantages: The beer is too expensive!
I go to Sweden every other month as my girlfriend lives there. I have been there about 10 times now. Sweden is a lovely country to visit, I can certainly recommend it. You'll find Sweden is cold in the winter, especially if you visit the East, or the North, however it has good summers, probably better than we have in the UK. My knowledge of Sweden does not yet extend to the North.
Most Swedes can speak English, so you don't need to worry about not ... ...some lovely countryside in Sweden as well as several large and exciting cities. In the country you're free to walk or camp on public land, more or less wherever you like. The country has many lakes, which make popular spots for swimming in the summer, as well as some rocky landscapes and forests not too dissimilar to UK ones in terms of the trees and wildlife they have.
As you would expect, Volvo is a popular choice of car here! I reckon about 50% ...

I'm an avid fan of QI the television series. I've watched all four seasons so far on television, most of the episodes more than once thanks to BBC4 and BBC2 repeats more
