Philippines called " Pearl Of The Orient " When you visit the Philippines the first you notice the people here, they love to smile and they love to greet people Also. Filipino people spoke English fluent so you will have no problems talking with them. They can speak Spanish too their dialects mixed spanish , and malay, some chinese,some Indian, some Japanese.
If you want a cheap hotel you can find along Ermita Manila around 20$ a night for a decent Hotel and Guest Houses. There is one Cheap Hotel in the Philippines called SOGO HOTEL the price around 15$ but sometimes they have Promotion around 11.74 $. That is small room.
STREET FOOD: You might notice many of the food looks YUMMY. But be very careful the food here are NOT safe. Don't buy street food because you will get sick.
1. THIEVES- Be very careful many thieves around Metro Manila and outside Manila watch your bag. Don't trust anybody there!
2. TAXI - many drivers here will cheat you in the Meter they will hassle you specially if you a foreigner they make a circle to build up your meter. Please try to bring Map with you.And if you notice that the Taxi driver cheated to you. Called the Police or Traffic Enforcer don't worry they will help you.
4. TRAIN STATION - Be careful because those Filipinos are pushing each other when they trying to get in and to get off. They pushing each other like a KIDS!
5. GUEST HOUSE - Sometimes those people who run Guest Houses, they try to cheat the Foreigners. Bargain your price to them.6. Jeepney Drivers and Bus Drivers - Some drivers are okey but the majority are careless and rude when you try to get off they will stop in the middles of street or they will took off even you haven't reach the ground!. Be very careful!
7. Money Exchange - If you want to exchange your money you better go to a Mall or Bank. There's a lot of money exchange shop in Metro Manila particularly in Ermita Manila they will cheat you blindly. Its like a Magic when they count money in front of you its complete .But when you count your own money its short not small amount but big amount.8. WHORE- Be very careful with the whores they play tricks on you, if you want them to be with you . They will DRUG you and steal all your money and valuable things. ( Many foreigners who reported to police about robbery.)
GOOD THINGS IN THE PHILIPPINES
2. INVITATION - Filipino love's to Invite you as their guest to their house and they will prepare food for you as a Welcome Visitors.
3. FRIENDLY - Filipino people are very friendly that is the first thing you will notice to them.
CHEAP IN THE PHILIPPINES:
2. BEER- Its very cheap you can buy 1 bottle of San Mig Light for less 1$ or (26.00 pesos)
3. APARTMENT - also cheap here if you want simple apartment you can find around 30$ to 40$ /per month . Luxury Apartment cost you around 200$ / per month.Friendly Reminders: If you want to travel to the Philippines particular in Metro Manila be ready because soon your face will cover of jet black dirt because of too much pollution some parts of the Philippines are very polluted.And your hair will cover of spray net jet black dirt. Wash it everyday!
As Travel Advice do not go to Mindanao where the Foreigners can be kidnap for ransom and Government of the Philippines still fighting of the Abu Sayaf Terrorist.
Keep bringing Off Lotion with you if you will travel to the Philippines because of high numbers of Dengue Cases.
Don't count your money outside of the bank because robberies are scattered everywhere.
