***Our Experience***
I was incredibly excited to be staying in a five star hotel but was initially disappointed when we pulled into the underground carpark which is very bland, narrow and shared by all the other buildings on the same site ...

Do not believe everything you read...
Advantages: In Geneva - quite good location - clean Disadvantages: Expensive
For my boyfriend's christmas present i wanted to do something really exciting - so i booked us flights to Geneva for the Geneva motorshow in April. We decided to wait until nearer the time to book a hotel and we got this one cheaper than most-although it was pretty basic for the price but you must consider the price of everything in Switzerland as it is soooooooo expensive.
We stayed from Friday until Monday and it was about £250 for the hotel bed ... ...Our first impression was 'oh my goodness, we paid £250 to stay here!' Our room was okay and had a bathroom with bath and toilet and sink. It also had a kitchen area but was about a 1m square and had a fridge full of food and treats (which by the way are extortion prices. for example we paid £4 for a small glass bottle of coke!) Also there was a kettle and cups andtea and coffee and a sink! I don't even think the sheets were changed or the towels ...

Not a five star hotel
Advantages: Close to the airport and convention centre Disadvantages: Room is basic, about a 10 minute trip to the centre of Geneva
My husband and I spent three nights at this hotel recently. We selected it as it was advertised as a five star hotel on the last minute website at a cost of £90 per night (the advertised rack rate is CHF650 or approx £263). This was room only, breakfast was available at an additional 34F.
Location
The hotel is located very close to the Geneva airport. Nearby is the convention centre, as well as an automotive museum. The hotel is located off a busy ... ...the airport, however, the hotel runs a regular shuttle bus service (approx every twenty minutes). The shuttle bus-stop is clearly marked, outside the ground floor of the hotel.
First impressions
Part of the hotel has recently been upgraded. As you enter the lobby, you can see a pond and garden outside. The new wing of the hotel is to the left, the old wing to the right.
Booking in
This took some time, as there were several people on our flight ...

Un Comedie d'erreurs
Advantages: Location is fairly central, staff are attentive to requests Disadvantages: No restaurant, basic room facilities, housekeeping could be improved
Hotel Comedie is a three star property in Geneve's City Centre, on the busy Rue de Carouge. It was business, rather than pleasure that took me there for my recent one month stay. The actual purpose of my trip was also hotel related, in that I was working with a project team on a system roll out for one of the most luxurious brands in the world. Unfortunately, at the time of my arrival they did not have a hotel in Geneve City..and they always book ... ...ok.
Arriving at the hotel by taxi is actually a challenge in itself. The two-way tram runs directly in front of the hotel, meaning the cars can only park on the opposite side of the road. So on my own, I had to lug a large suit carrier, sports bag, and laptop bag several metres down and across the road, dodging trams as I went. That enough would put me off a return visit!
The Reception of the hotel is very small, and is nothing special to look ...

Functional but could be anywhere.
Advantages: city centre Disadvantages: impersonal
We've just got home from a week travelling across Switzerland by train. Our first night was in Geneva at this hotel. It was quite easy to find from the railway station - we used the map from the website, and also noticed one or two signposts along the way. I think the walk took about five minutes. The hotel is in a slightly run down area of the city. There was a cafe across the road, and a chinese restaurant next door. Next door but one was a karaoke ... ...Breakfast was not included in the price we paid, CHF 134 for a double room, as we felt that an extra CHF 14 (about £6.50) each for a cold buffet was expensive.
The room was alright, nothing special. It had two single beds pushed together, and a small ensuite shower room. It was all clean. As we only stayed one night I couldn't say how often towels and bedding are changed. We were able to borrow a hairdryer from reception, and shower gels, soaps ...
