Advantages: 4 star luxary, excellent breakfest, cheap deals if booked early Disadvantages: smallish sized room
So here we are traveling the globe and the Scandinavian is without doubt the most expensive for hostels and we were really struggling to find a hostel in central Copenhagen until my girlfriend stumbled upon this excellent hotel which worked out to be only a couple of pounds more expensive then the hostels in the area - but this one has of course a four star luxury status!
The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre and of course a local metro stop which connects directly to the local airport. We made the short journey and located the street that the hostel was on easily. The hotel stood out on this quiet street as we arrived at 9pm and there was no one walking the streets and only one building as lit up - this was the phoenix.
The hotel entrance is grand with a water feature in the middle of reception and its have ...
Advantages: A pleasant place to stay whilst visiting the beautiful Disadvantages: Cost
I was so excited about going to Copenhagen that I never really gave much thought to the hotel because that's my dad's department! He sorts out all our flights and accommodation when we go on holiday (and he always does a good job too!) (Unfortunately we just stayed in a standard room with 2 double beds. But it was nice all the same!) It is situated on the riverfront (and we were lucky enough to have a water facing view ...
Advantages: good location, very nice rooms, friendly staff Disadvantages: nothing
Last summer we went on a short trip to Denmark´s captial and so we needed also a hotel for the one night that we spent in Copenhagen. After we spent some time online to search for the "perfect hotel" we found this one, the Savoy Copenhagen. We paid for one night 105 Euro (88 GBP), not much compared to other hotels in Copenhagen.
The Savoy Copenhagen is located in the Vesterbrogade 34 in
1620 Copenhagen. The hotel´s website can be found here: http://www.savoyhotel.dk/ . It has three stars.
The hotel is just a short walk away from the railway station. So when we came from the airport, we just had to fetch a train to the railway station (took approximatly 15 minutes) and then we just had to walk around 300 meters to reach the Savoy hotel. Also all sights of Copenhagen can be reached by feet from the hotel, but the way to the Little ...
