...Kent, we stayed at "The George hotel" a large hotel built in a very small town.
When we went to the hotel, you can feel the characteristics and you can see some original features, we paid before we took our luggage up and the prices to stay for a double room is £45.00, a single room is £25.00, win is £45.00 and a room for a family of 3/4 is £55/£60.
You can also have the choice to have breakfast there which was from £3.50 ... ...perfect.
The George hotel was built in 1620 and has seen many activities during its nearly 400 years, including use as a meeting point for famous smuggling gangs being used to keep prisoners before trial.
The hotel address is 11 High Street, Lydd, Kent, TN29 9AJ
You can also have dinner and lunch there and you don’t have to be staying there to eat and there is also a bar inside the hotel.

The staff showed us our way up to our room, the place felt very strange and weird. As you walk along the narrow hallway on the top floor it was creaky and dim, you can even see that the flooring was slanted, it looked very spooky to me. We had a double bedroom with a TV and DVD player, tea and coffee facilities and a sink in the bedroom, the bedroom had great features on the fireplace and cupboards with smugglers secret passages in. It was very strange, one of the staff said that they believe there are ghosts in them; I think she was trying to scare us?
I really didn't like it already, its ok if you like that sort of thing but im a bit of a scardy cat, so I was staying away from the cupboard. I managed to persuade my partner to keep on thee bedside lamp all night.
Breakfast was lovely, the set up was great all cereals and milk etc… There to help yourself or you can choose from there cooked breakfast range, so the food was cooked perfect.

So if you like that ghostly feeling or are not bothered by it I recommend that you stay there.
Also nearby you have small food and gift shops, church, chemist, golf course and a water sports centre.
