Noisy and Basic - I won't go back.
Advantages: I'm really struggling to think of any good reason to stay here Disadvantages: Smelly, noisy and tiny
...The road noise at the Mercure was much more disturbing and this wasn't helped by the need to keep the windows open. When I arrived I opened the windows because the room was so hot and there's no air-con anywhere in the hotel. At night when the temperature plummeted I had to continue to leave them open because of the smell of smoke and air-freshener.
My room was a single - which for 91 Euros a night room only was a bit of a rip off. I pay 66 Euros ... ...two off the mattress. The Mercure pillow was like trying to sleep with your head on a sandbag - it was fat and exceptionally hard. This combined with the draft from keeping the windows open all night, left me with a nasty crick in my neck.
The bathroom was instantly recognisably Accor with one of their strange moulded sink units. For a shower-room it was basic but of fair size. The toilet was one of those nasty ones that are historically popular ...

Wurlitzer hell at Hotel Kurfurst
Advantages: Acceptable and reasonably cheap; useful location Disadvantages: Terrible food
...at heel but perfectly adequate hotel is used mainly by visiting British coach parties that keep it busy even during the off season. However, you may be able to get a room if you have turned up in town without a reservation and are struggling. There are a small number of car parking spaces in the grounds of the hotel or you can park just along the road beside the ALDI supermarket.
Hotel Kurfurst is at the western end of the Kamp Bornhofen, a few ... ...It's a family run hotel and the staff are all friendly and speak good English. There are rooms in the main building and more in the small annexe beside the convent church Augustin St Marys. The bells ring all night through so, if you are a light sleeper, request a room on the other side of the hotel. Unfortunately the train line runs nearby and big lorries career through the town 24 hours a day so there aren't any truly quiet rooms.
If you have ...

Unforgettable quietness and beauty
Advantages: quietness, cozy, hospitable, beautiful decorated, full of positive energy, in the nature Disadvantages: there are no many places to go for a walk
Darstein Hotel is one of the best Hotels that I visited and I want to go there again just to relax, to see the beautiful nature, the lake... just to be far from the city and to feel the quietness.
I visited Darstein Hotel a lot of times and I know it really well. I took part to many seminars organized there. So, it is not an advertisement - this is my opinion, based on my experience.
The Hotel is not big and that's because it is very cozy. The ... ...that you feel the warmth.
There is a big meeting room which is a good place to discuss important company topics. The meeting room has a view to the lake. It is quiet and comfortable.
About the catering - I may say that it is perfect. There are fruits, drinks and a lot of different delicious rolls, croissants and so on. You want to taste everything.
The restaurant and the kitchen are perfect. There are big salads, meat, deserts and don't forget ...

This is a local hotel, for local people!
Advantages: Great breakfast, peaceful and attractive location Disadvantages: Ugly 70s style rooms with a surfeit of brown. Dirty bathrooms and a general lack of warmth
Misty mountain home The second stop of our recent German holiday was an overnight in the Black Forest, an area of particular natural beauty where we'd been hopeful of some gentle walking and enough Black Forest ham and gateaux to hospitalise ourselves. Sadly enough we never actually got to try any gateaux, although the region did meet our other expectations. The region was very misty during our visit and this actually added to its charm. As ... ...outside - a sizeable chalet style property, very much in keeping with local styles. Prices and booking There are a couple of sites where it's possible to book this guesthouse online, including www.activehotels.com and their own website at http://adler-pelzmuehle.privat.t-online.de/. Rooms start at roughly 70 Euros a night (including the tourist charge of 1.20 Euros per head, per night). This translates to roughly £63 a night, although my girlfriend's ...

Where in the name of all that's holy?
Advantages: Location, restaurant Disadvantages: Getting there, then parking
...summer evening, which makes the Sankt Nepomuk rather special. And it doesn’t fail to make the most of it. So overall there was excellent, good and not so good. I'd give it 8/10 for the restaurant and 5/10 for the room which at €146 was a bit over the top for the space on offer. I'll decline to rate the access and parking and put that down to an off day. But why St Nepomuk you’re asking (and if not, why not?). I’m ashamed to admit that I didn’t enquire ... ...(and me a seasoned Ciaoster too). St John of Nepomuk was a 14th century Czech saint put to death by King Wenceslas (no, not that one) for refusing to divulge the secrets of the confessional. Wenceslas had him drowned in the river Vltava, so by one of those tenuous saintly associations he is considered as a protection from flooding. What better saint to have beside you on a river bank. If you find yourself in Prague you will see a statue of him on ...
