Bristol Transport

Advantages: Can be efficient when wants to be!
Disadvantages: Could be busy/traffic at centre

Getting around in Bristol, can be sometimes quite difficult depending on where you wish to go and what you want to do! This is also the case in many cities when close to the centre.

--Getting to Bristol--
-By Air
In the outskirts of the city there is Bristol International Airport, if you are in need of getting to the centre of Bristol there is a coach/bus called the Bristol Flyer which takes you to the Bus Station or ...

-By Car
Bristol has many access routes with the M5, M4 close-by.
There are a number of multistorey car parks situated around Bristol, either ... more

Getting Around Bristol

Advantages: A variety of ways of getting around
Disadvantages: Can be expensive and time consuming to get to certain places

...are plenty of ways of getting around the wonderful city of Bristol *-* Car *-* Being situated near the M4, M5 and the M32 Bristol has access from al over the country. Just get off at J19 on the M4 and your on the M32 into Bristol. It has a good road network so it is possible to travel all over by car. However, during the rush hours itt can get very busy in the centre and at Cribbs Causeway. There is plenty of parking; Galleries , Tollgate and Bond ...

There is plenty of off street parking a shorty distance away from the centre Therefore you can walk in or catch a bus. Cribbs has its own free car park with spaces for over 5000 cars. *-* Bus *-* Bristol has a regular bus service around Bristol and further such as Weston Super Mare and Bath. Crewe, Crewe and more Crewe

Advantages: quiet in the evening
Disadvantages: traffic hotspots

Crewe is famous for being a railway town. Whilst this isnt really about getting around within Crewe, I feel it important enough to mention. There are direct links to cities all around Britain, including london, Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester. Ok, getting around within Crewe: buses - In the centre of Crewe is the bus station. Its not particularly big, and there are currently plans to move it (about 100 meteres or something ridiculous). There are 14 'parks' in the station, these buses travel all around Crewe and to bigger towns and cities nearby such as Nantwich, Chester and Hanley. Some of the destinations include leighton hospital, Sydney, Elm drive Shavington and Wistaston and the train station. Buses travel around all residential parts of Crewe, and travel to the Hospital too. Buses tend to go round these circuits every ...

Popes, Pantheons and Prostitutes...

Advantages: coffee to die for, food to die for, architecture to..get the picture?
Disadvantages: The graffiti, bad pavements and those skinny Italian women..ggrrrrr

, which was very near the Termini and not the most fantastic of locations. I have to tell you about it though! It was quite a walk down the road next to the Termini, it was quite dirty, stinky piles of rubbish, a few drunks and I must admit I was strolling down the road just expecting to see one more thing. And there she was! Right on the corner by our hotel. But there was only the one and she wasn't too skanky, nor did she have the use of hotel! I would do a bit of research though, just to check out exactly here you are staying, so you don't come across any unexpected 'ladies of the night' Getting Around You're there, you need to get around, you may even need to just get from the Termini to your hotel. And unlike Bristol it has a wealth of ways to get around. We have the: Metro: Just like the Underground in London, it goes near ...

Our long weekend in Cornwall

Advantages: Scenery and views are amazing
Disadvantages: No Seafood - I need my cockles!

Over half term we decided to have a long weekend in Cornwall with our friends. There was eight of us all together four adults and four children my friends mum owns a holiday cottage in Jacobstow near to Bude so we stayed there. We live in Leicestershire so it was a good trek to Cornwall and the traffic was horrific especially around Bristol, in total it took us around six hours to get to our destination. Jacobstow is a quite a small village with only about 420 people living there. The village is three miles south-west of Week St. Mary, and just inland from the A39 and seven mile from Bude. We didn?t spend much time in the village apart from going back to the cottage in the evening. Although we did have a short walk round and looked at the wonderful church in the centre of the village. There is a nice village pub close by ...
