Being a student at Leeds University the bus system is vital to me and gladly it is excellent. There are an excellent range of fares available on First Leeds transport, 'dayrider' tickets cost less than £2 and allow unlimited travel on First services throughout the Leeds metropolitan area for a day. The services themselves are frequent and punctual, on the main Number 1 route buses run every 5 minutes. The actual buses are above average and the new fleets are clean and comfortable. Overall I believe Leeds is probably one of the few cities in Britain where you don't need a car and I would recommend using the bus service to anyone visiting the city for whatever reason.
Advantages: transport , shops, resturants , cinema, train station , coach station Disadvantages: none

Advantages: small, easy access to get there Disadvantages: none
this year i flew to benidorm from leeds/bradford airport. this was the first time i had been to this airport as i usually fly from manchester, even though leeds/bradford is a lot nearer for me to get to.
Thsi is quite a small airport comapred to all the big ones like manchester and luton. The good point about it been small is that there are no long queue's to queue in whilst you check in. And i hate queuing as well, so i was pleased about that.
Its easy access to get to this airport by car, taxi or bus if you live in the leeds or bradford area's or around there. It took me about 20 minutes to get there in the car.
Whilst checking in the staff did not say much apart from how much luggage you got, so can't really say that they was friendly though.
There are plenty of car park spaces at the airport, and security guards were walking ...
Advantages: Location; Room Sizes; Comfort of Beds Disadvantages: Needs Updating; Noisy Bar
With our annual cricket trip organised we (me and two friends) were off to Headingley and given it was the Ashes, we were actually a bit stuck for accommodation. And so to the rescue came Ilkley. One of us had spent some time there before, and with a ringing endorsement our hotel search shifted out into Yorkshire. Where we found the Crescent Hotel.
Located just 5 minutes walk from the train station in Ilkley this is a perfect location for getting about. The train to Leeds takes just 30 minutes, with the regular bus service being around 15-20 minutes longer. Ilkley itself is lovely, and there are a number of pubs and restaurants within a few minutes stroll from the Crescent.
Arrival was slightly confusing, however. The entrance from the main street takes you into a large bar, and it's not immediately obvious where the reception is ...
Advantages: peace quiet and lots of good advice. Disadvantages: high ceiling means the room gets a little cold in febuary(hope its not the same in summer....)
An oasis of tranquillity in a busy city, the Web Junction is found by the side of Leeds busy Kirkgate Market on Ludgate Hill off Vicar Lane LS2 7HZ.From the moment you enter the atmosphere is friendly and buisness like with the small team of staff eager to assist ingetting you on to the net and further.
At first glance this place pails in comparission to the Virgin Space internet zone with its pounding music and cramped/high tec look or the CEX cafe with its grungy/lo-fi feel and attitude,But come in and spend an hour or two here and youll start to see the charm of the place.Done out in mild blues and greens with wooden work stations and floors there is a sense of peace the ouzes around you(ok poetic licence aside this place really chills you out),the stations are well set up to give you minimum distractions are limited privacy ...
