Ferrys run all day bepending on sunlight, Trains run from 6:30 until midnight and go to all major areas in mersey side. Busses run from 5:30 until 1pm and also a late bus service until 3am at the weekend. All this as well as countless taxis operating in the area it is well easy to get anywhere. Liverpool is easy and Cheap to get around!
Advantages: New fleets for new routes, and the majourity of the older buses repainted if not completely refurbished both inside and out., Lots of new training buses, whih mean more employment and better services., Improvment to local travel as a whole. Disadvantages: High fares for all services (although I hope these are only to cover short term losses and will be reconcidered when all services are stable). No change what-so-ever on the already shambolic train front. Bad customer relations when it comes to info.
have introduced the SaveAway, a one-day off-peak travel tickets to getaround on any form of transport anywhere in Merseyside for just £1.10 (Liverpool area, Area C. For further a field in Merseyside, tickets are £1.70). And so, if you are travelling around Merseyside on bus, ferry or train and don’t require travel from 8.00-9.30 am and 4.00-6.00 it makes sense to buy a SaveAway whatever the journey. These are available from Travel Centres and sweet shops ect. But Arriva have simplified child fares, with a flat fare of 50p anywhere inLiverpool, with lower fares if travelling further a field in Merseyside (e.g. Southport, Birkinhead).
But the train services haven’t improved. They are still rather dirty, uncomfortable, old and expensive, but hopefully the company will be tending to these after the bus service has been re ...

TRAINS
Arriving at one of the three train stations (Victoria, Central, or East) Victoria, it was sun shining (Don’t worry it didn’t last too long). However, we began our walk to the well signposted sea front. It was a simply and almost straight walk to the sea front, which lasted around 15 minutes, or less. Around seven trains an hour arrive in Southend on sea, mainly from London Fenchurch Street or London Liverpool Street. Of course you can get a taxi from the station, or take a stroll.
SOUTHEND ACCOMODATION
Southend is Essex’s largest town, and as it’s a seaside town – you ...

LIVERPOOL - European Capital of Culture 2008
This is the first in what will be a series of city reviews, when I getaround writing the others that is !!
I could quite easily go on about my home city all day long..... A city, which for reasons beyond it's own control, has received a very bad press for far too long.
I have lived and worked away from the city now for over 10 years, and can say with absolute certainty that there are many worse places to be ... I know, I live in one of them !
A city that likes to double up .... 2 Premiership football teams, 2 tunnels, 2 Cathedrals, 2 Universities
Liverpool .... I love the place, I love the people (well, most of them anyway), I love the fresh sea air, the humour, the art, the football, the heritage, the history, the music, the culture ... It's got it all, but unfortunately ...
