Gibreltar - the great place i visited with my friends in summer 2005. I was there with my car and there are some things usefull to know.
First thing is that there are drivers driving on the right side eventhough it is England. For those comming by car is good to know that there is cheapest petron in whole europe - cheaper than in Luxemburg and other cheap localities so dont forget not to take petrol before entering gibraltar. Gibraltar is not spacefull and therefore you can see a weird airport made in the world war. It is on the only flatland and the main road to city is crossing it. So there are gates like on the railway being down when some plane is landing or taking off. It takes some time to take off so be patient if there is a jam it is surely because of the airport.
When you got with your car to the entrance on the rock you will have to pay a really huge sum of money to get in and payment is per person. I recommand to you to park cars for free before entrance and go by walk because it was only one euro per person! If you are walking and want to have adventure like me it is wise to choose path from the east side that is rarely used. It is very narrow and there is no asphalt and cars. And you will not meet anyone. There are nice sceneries of nature, nice views on the sea stright under your feets. If you will walk from the patk to the wilderness straight up on the rock you will meet an army basement but if you have good talking skills you will be able to go through with some guy with machine rifle but dont say that I told you that because they are really not very hapy when they see tourist:D The rear way ends with straight stairs on the top of the rocks where you get back on asphalt and have nice views. We were going on the main road back down. There are many people going and if there werent monkeys it would be really disgusting to walk.
South on the half-island is a place where was a cannon in the war and now it is the place nearly southest from the whole europe where you can have nice view on Marokko and Atlas mountains.
I mist say that gibraltar is one of the most spectacular place in the europe and if you will take the east overgrowned way you will surely wont regret it! Dont forget This way begins from the place where you pay entrance fee and if you ask them they will surely show you.

your English is a lot better than my Spanish! I visited Gibraltar after along stay in Morocco, it was a real shock to see a British bobby outside the Airport, after being around policemen who look like Che Guevara. A truly spectacular and historic place, and it has a Marks and Spencers, a Boots and a Wimpy!

I have been close - on a bus from Tarifa to Algecira but wasn't able to stop - would have liked to. Interesting stuff. Fiona

I wonder if you can advise whether the cheap rate to enter the rock by foot is offset by the savings you can make if your petrol tank is empty. Otherwise an interesting review from a different angle to others.
