Advantages: Smells Great Disadvantages: Can be expensive
Hi. I'm going to share with you my experiences with Armani's ACQUA DI GIO today.
This fragrance came out way back in 1996 following the successes of Armani Mania (1981) and Armani Eau Pour Homme (1984). I have no hesitation in saying that Acqua Di Gio too is a success.
Armani's Acqua Di Gio for Men is constantly being advertised everywhere, particularly in Debenhams and Men's magazines such as Men's Fitness and Men's Health. This was a big factor behind me buying this because Armani weren't going to spend millions advertising this fragrance if it was not good. Neither would Debenhams display posters of it everywhere either.
I also bought my 50ml of Acqua Di Gio because of the positive reviews from word of mouth and from the Internet. I bought mine from Superdrug.
Anyway... Armani's Acqua Di Gio for Men comes in a simple ...
Advantages: Light, fresh Disadvantages: Get a spray-bottle!
Back in the mid-90s there was something of a revolution when it came to mens fragrances. Gone were the days of heavy, spicy, woody scents - replaced instead by fresher, lighter, citrus almost feminine notes. Launched in 1996, Aqua Di Gio from Giorgio Armani was one of the main players in this change and quickly became one of the most popular scents of the end of the 20th century.
Apparently, Mr (Giorgio) Armani gets his inspiration for fragrances from the island of Pantelleria, located half-way between Sicily and Tunisia in the Mediterranean. Unfortunately I've never been to the island (and this is a review of an aftershave anyway!) but it's fair to say that Aqua Di Gio helps conjure up an image?
Arriving in a plain off-white box with embossed lettering, it looks simple enough. The bottle itself has clean lines and is made ...
Advantages: Small, friendly, very pretty Disadvantages: Not easiest desination to get to from the UK
Most people in the UK have only heard of Maastricht in connection with the EC treaty, they couldn't tell you what it's about, nor could they tell you even which country it's in!
The city is tucked in the bottom left hand corner of the Netherlands, and surrounded on three sides by Belgium and Germany. It's also very close to France and Luxembourg is only a short car journey away.
Don't make the mistake of thinking it's in Holland - that's in the north of the Netherlands, it's the capital of Limburg provence.
I attended a business conference in the beginning of March 2003, and quite by accident managed to land in town at exactly the same time as 'carnival' - which they take very seriously - more about this later.
The old town is about one kilometre square, and is a maze of narrow pedestrianised streets there's a bunch of old ...
