Shop till ya drop!!!

Advantages: Great benefits, and a wide range of products
Disadvantages: credit scoring done to get a loyalty card.

House of fraser is an excellent department store. The staff are all very helpful and enthusiastic to help you. It sells a wide range of products, from clothes, perfume and luggage, to furniture, beds and glassware. Aswell as being a highly popular high department street store, it also boasts the best store card around. With the account card and master card they offer a typical 19.9% apr, which is very advantageous indeed. You are awarded with 3 ...
...points you recieve a £15 voucher to spend in store. The only thing to be aware of when siging up to one of these cards is that you need to be 18 in order to qualify for one as a credit scoring check will be done to see if you qualify for the account card or master card. ...

A spendaholics dream come true!

Advantages: Shop for everything under one roof!
Disadvantages: can spend a lot of money!

= Braehead Shopping Centre and Retail Park = I live about 20 miles or so from this huge indoor shopping centre. I done most of my Christmas shopping here and it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Braehead first opened its doors to the public in 1999. It also cost approximately £285 million to build! It is the largest privately funded waterside regeneration project in the country! ...
...very easy to get to Braehead by car, train, bus, even by boat if you so wish. By car - It is based on Junction 26 (eastbound) of Glasgow's M8 motorway, Junction 25a provides dedicated westbound access roads to the centre and the eastern link road connect to the A8 dual carriageway. It is well signposted from all directions. There are over 6500 FREE car parking spaces so you can spend more money on the things that matter hehe. By bus - where I live ...

Dancing on ice....

Advantages: Great fun and keeps you fit...
Disadvantages: If you've got no balance, it hurts!

MY EXPERIENCE Well this has been something i've wanted to do since i was a kid but never have done and then when Celebrity Dancing on Ice started a couple of months ago the t.v, i got got itchy feet and wanted to have a blast at t it. Finally i managed to persuade my mates to come with me for a laugh, we drove over to Tamworth to the Snowdome one saturday afternoon. Just the four of us went. Two of my friends and my friends 5 yr old son. Well we ...
...Just getting on the ice was hard enough, then we had to cross from one side to the other to get to the mini rink in the middle, which is for begginers while people were racing past on the chikane. The Ice track as a whole is a 250 metre radius. Within that is a mini rink, a large rink and a surrounding chikane. The mini rink is a great size because if you really can't get your balance and fall over you can just crawl to the side to get back up! The ...

Value for Money

Enjoy the Film!

Advantages: Large cinema, surrounded by restuarants, bars, bowling and arcades.
Disadvantages: Awkward location.

...cinemas, and the Glasgow East Showcase is one I go to fairly often. The name is fairly confusing, as it is probably nearer Coatbridge than Glasgow, but it is only part of a much larger park which contains a bowling alley, arcade, KFC, McDonald's, a couple of other eating places and a pub. The cinema itself is fairly eye-catching as you drive by it on the motorway, with huge neon signs attracting your attention from the windows. However, it is quite ...
...it is larger. The Showcase isn't the best cinema I've ever been to, but it certainly does the trick if you want a wee night out. The restuarants in the park are handy if you want to go for a meal or a drink and then follow it up with a film, although the location of the park is rather awkward to get to. I would recommend it, but I wouldn't advise someone to go out their way just to see a movie here, as it is a pretty average cinema. ...

Odeon cinema - The Quay

Advantages: modern, clean
Disadvantages: access by road only

...retail park based around the Odeon cinema, making ideal for city centre visitors without having to pay parking charges. Ideally located for access from the M8 (eastbound Kinning Park exit), and from the M77. 12 screens, from 89 to 279. Normally showing between 14 and 18 films, at various times. Adult tickets are £5, students/children are £3.50. No further discounts are currently offered (as at 01/06/02). After entering the foyer, a rather vast ...
...are permitted to bring your own food/drinks onto premises. No alcohol is permitted, and there are no bars/licence. I have made several visits to this cinema and been in most of the screens, from the small cosy 89 seater to the massive 279 seater. All films begin at the advertised time, and adverts run at all times. A small 10 minute commercial also runs prior to the film. Sound quality is superb, as is the seating. Toilets are located in the ...
