value for your money
Advantages: good location for access to city centre Disadvantages: no car park
Recently stayed at this premier travel inn while in town for a concert. i found the location ideal and the hotel was clean and tidy.there is a bar at the hotel and it is certainly good value for the money we paid for the room and we took up the £20 meal deal offer which got us a 2 course dinner plus a buffet breakfast the next morning which was an all you can eat style buffet, so you wont go hungry. the only thing that was a little bit annoying is ...

Top Hotel at Excellent Prices
Advantages: Great Food, Family Friendly, Relaxed atmosphere, Great Value. Disadvantages: Not very appealing from the exterior
The Glasgow Swallow is a well equipped comfortable and friendly Hotel, located a short distance outside the city centre but in an area with some of Glasgow's best attractions. It is an excellent choice for families and great value for money.
I have been to the Swallow in Glasgow with my family many times. From the outside the hotel is quite unimpressive, inside is a different story. It is well decorated and well laid out. As you walk in the door ... ...Food
Breakfast at the Swallow is brill. You have a choice of fruit juices, buffet style fry up and choice of cereals and pastries. You go to the dining room where you will be shown to your table. Waiting staff will be with you in a few moments to ask if you would like tea, coffee or toast, which arrives hot fresh and quickly. You can eat as much as you like and the price is included in your booking. The atmosphere is informal, relaxed and friendly. ...

cheap hotel in glasgow
Advantages: - Disadvantages: --
**** Argyll Hotel****
**Location/Getting there**
This hotel isn't dead central in Glasgow as you have to walk for quite a while down Sauchiehall street but it is a great budget hotel to stay in if you are planning to go to the SECC.They even have maps to help you get from the hotel to the SECC and it only takes about 15 minutes to walk it.
**Reception/staff**
The hotel isn't that glamourous or anything but the staff are always very helpful and ... ...which is nice instead of having a scowling member of staff.
**Hotel/Room**
Pretty much every time i have stayed in this hotel i have had the same room. Its pretty standard as rooms go .It is always very clean and tidy,it has a kettle and some biscuits. The shower is okay. They always give us plenty of pillows .
**Other**
They offer breakfast but i have never tried it as there are plenty of places to eat nearby.
**Price**
The price for a double ...

A GREAT SCOTTISH WELCOME
Advantages: peace and quiet Disadvantages: quite a way from city centre
I visited the Ewington on business in 2001. There were seven of us altogether - myself and my husband and five other staff members - both men and women. My husband was the designated driver for the weekend trip though he wasn't employed by the company I worked for. He was "employed" for the weekend only - his shortest ever job I think! We were given a variety of rooms depending on who was sharing with who. My husband and I had one of the larger suites ... ...given the choice between The Ewington and a city centre hotel I would definitely choose The Ewington. The atmosphere is lovely, the food fantastic, the rooms are beautiful and the staff cannot do enough for you
Our room was the Big Bay window on the top floor in the picture below
Thank you for reading ...

THE JURY'S STILL OUT - UPDATED
Advantages: Low prices, excellent leisure facilities, some thermostically controlled showers Disadvantages: bit out of the way, very noisy with poor soundproofing, no teletext on portable TV's
...recommendations from friends about the Jurys chain, saw me at the website for the Jury’s Hotel, Glasgow.
LOCATION
Situated in Glasgow’s upmarket West-end around 10 minutes from the City Center (c£7 in a taxi) there is little obvious entertainment within easy walking distance. There is a hospital one side of the hotel and a Safeway supermarket and petrol station the other – the latter overlooks a small lake, but don’t expect too much of a view from ... ...on-line. I established that Jurys were offering us three rooms at a rate of £47 per room per night – can’t be bad, but there was no indication of whether this cost included breakfast. I contacted the hotel who confirmed that indeed it did. Liaison with one of my partner colleges established that there was definitely three of us travelling and hence I returned to the website to re-check the rate and sure enough it was still £47 which for a major metropolitan ...
