Wonderful William Street
Advantages: Excellent food and service, spacious room, great facilities, very close to all city centre Disadvantages: expensive
...I ended up at the Hilton hotel on William Street. To get to the hotel from Glasgow airport is a £17 cab ride and takes about 25 minutes. On arriving at the hotel my first thoughts were grey looking tower block of a hotel facing the motorway and an area of patchy development land. So that didn’t bode well. However within minutes of getting out of the taxi and walking into the lobby I started to think the interior definitely had more to offer. Check ... ...me as I thought the Hilton corporate colours were blue. On opening the document I saw that they would have delivered me breakfast up to 10.30am, afternoon tea up to 5pm and then the rest of the menu after that time. On offer were:
Sandwiches, all of which apparently came served with savory crisps and on a bread of your choice. Options included:
Roast Beef with English Mustard £7.45
Hot peppered steak ciabatta with red onion £12.95
‘Isle of Mull’ ...

The Marriot Hotel, Glasgow.

I booked this hotel for a two night stay starting on the 18th of August 2006. We needed somewhere to stay as we were attending the Ciao Glasgow meet, which incidentally was absolutely brilliant.
As we are rather fond of our local Marriot Hotel, we decided as a late Anniversary present, to treat ourselves to a visit to the Glasgow Marriot. We weren't disappointed.
We drove to Glasgow ... ...and we had directions for the hotel from Maporama.com. The last direction was to take the Clydebank/S.E.C.C. Exit 19 off the M8 heading Southbound, take the ramp 290 m and turn left and there we were. No driving into or through Glasgow's' main streets, I was so relieved as I don't know Glasgow at all and was dreading navigating our way to the hotel. So there you go easy as that! And on the way back out all we had to do was turn right out of the hotel ...

A ROOM WITH A VIEW
Advantages: 7 foot bed, excellent leisure facilities, fantastic views, air conditioning that worked Disadvantages: poor food, windows didn't open
...be noted about the Glasgow Moat House, is that in common with the rest of their chain, they offer high speed wireless internet access. However, availability cannot be guaranteed in all rooms. I was quite adamant at reception that I had booked this hotel primarily for the internet access and insisted on it being available in my room.
Despatched with my luggage and room key card, I was somewhat shocked to discover I had been placed on the 15th floor, ... ...BOOKING & CONTACT DETAILS

Forest Hills Hotel, Aberfoyle
Advantages: Relaxed feel, fantastic views, very good restaurant, refurbished main areas - lovely Disadvantages: rooms slightly dated
I have stayed in this hotel on several occasions, I like it so much I keep going back. The hotel is set in the middle of the Trossachs so the views from the terraces are out of this world. You look down the grounds to a loch with mountains in the distance.
The restaurant, bar areas and lounges have all been recently refurbished in lovely creams and beiges, it's very relaxing and does a lot to draw your attention to the large windows everywhere (and ... ...revamped yet, having said that there is nothing wrong with them, they are well equipped with comfy beds and large bathrooms, they simply look slightly dated when compared to the open areas of the hotel.
The hotel has an excellent onsite restaurant that specialises in local fresh produce, well worth a visit. Also within the hotel grounds is a bistro which serves slightly cheaper meals for the money concious traveller. There is also a Swimming Pool, ...

Sex In The City Inn
Advantages: Good facilities, excellent breakfast, well-run establishment Disadvantages: Dinner menu is expensive
...in Glasgow, staying at the City Inn. I don't know if our Karen has ever been to Scotland? The purpose of this op is to outline our stay at this hotel thereby giving you an impression whether you would like to stay here or not?
WHY WE CHOSE THIS HOTEL?
Our travel operator for this trip was British Airways Holidays. I am sure that cheaper options would be found by more research on the Internet. But we have travelled with BA Holidays before and feel ... ...4 hotels and selected the City Inn from Ciao reviews.
PRICES
The cost per night varied from just under GBP 100 to just over. Breakfast was included with our package. Otherwise it would have cost around GBP 12 per person every morning. LOCATION
The hotel is located at Finnieston Quay, just on the outskirts of Glasgow city centre. We took a taxi from Glasgow Airport to the hotel and the fare was around GBP 21. The journey took about 30 minutes. ...
