Perfect Apartment in Glasgow City Centre
Advantages: Perfect location Disadvantages: None
We stayed at this 4-star apartment hotel on 19th of December 2008 for 1 night before we head to Isle of Bute for our friend’s wedding. We flew into Glasgow International Airport from London City Airport with British Airways. It took about 1 hour and 35 minutes get reach Glasgow. As soon as we reached Glasgow Airport, we went straight to the car rental desk to pick up our car. Once you come out of the arrival hall you will see several car rental companies ... ...from the Airport is about 11miles and it should really take about 20 minutes to reach the hotel. But we took over an hour to reach our hotel, because the weather was really bad and there was an accident on the road. Just be careful, there are a lot of one-way systems in the city centre, so if you get a turning wrong then it’ll take you ages to get back onto the right track. It will be better for people who are not that familiar with the city, to ...

Wonderful William Street
Advantages: Excellent food and service, spacious room, great facilities, very close to all city centre Disadvantages: expensive
...I ended up at the Hilton hotel on William Street. To get to the hotel from Glasgow airport is a £17 cab ride and takes about 25 minutes. On arriving at the hotel my first thoughts were grey looking tower block of a hotel facing the motorway and an area of patchy development land. So that didn’t bode well. However within minutes of getting out of the taxi and walking into the lobby I started to think the interior definitely had more to offer. Check ... ...me as I thought the Hilton corporate colours were blue. On opening the document I saw that they would have delivered me breakfast up to 10.30am, afternoon tea up to 5pm and then the rest of the menu after that time. On offer were:
Sandwiches, all of which apparently came served with savory crisps and on a bread of your choice. Options included:
Roast Beef with English Mustard £7.45
Hot peppered steak ciabatta with red onion £12.95
‘Isle of Mull’ ...

The Bestest Place To Stay
Advantages: Friendly Staff, The Right Atmosphere - infact just perfect - oh and only £90 per room per night Disadvantages: erm........erm.......I'm thinking......erm.......erm.....well the tissues were a bit hard on the nose....
...you completely cold.
The Langs Hotel in Glasgow is nothing like that. Sited next to the Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow City Centre, it looks like nothing from the outside, but step inside and the place is just a den of luxury. Step up to the reception desk, share some informal banter with the lass behind the counter, oh and steal a chocolate from the massive box she's just been given by the satisfied couple who were just leaving when you came in. ... ...abode. A massive Queen Size bed - trust me I'm big and this was enough for three of me - a hi-fi, a Playstation, all of the Sky channels, Oh and a superb power shower, great for turning the missus on with stray jets that appear to come from nowhere on the wall :-)
The veiw is a bit dodgy. An old concrete car park made the scenery pretty dull, but still I could easily check on the security of my car, and lets face it there aren't too many pretty ...
