Clean and Efficent

Busy at Peak Times

Glasgow International Airport is situated nine miles from Glasgow city centre and approximately fifty miles from Edinburgh. It is a very busy airport and serves the West of Scotland though with the range of flights available passengers travel from as far as Aberdeen . How to get there. By bus...

No direct rail link

Glasgow International Airport ( or Abbotsinch for those of us with longer memories ) is visible from the M8 motorway about 8 miles out of Glasgow and a mile or so from Paisley. So is very accessible to reach by car. It is my local airport and I have flown from here many a time on both...

Good links with airlines

Local transport facilities

Its a good airport but with one major drawback - the links into the city centre of Glasgow. If you're in a hurry to get into the centre of town and can't afford a cab then forget it. I have travelled to Glasgow on business on a number of occasions and like it. It is a vibrant city with lots to do...

international, national and regional flights

no direct rail link

Close to City Centre

Can take ages into the city centre

Glasgow is Scotland's busiest airport and at times it seems like it can't cope or perhaps doesn't appear interested in coping. There are a good number of destinations although too many through hub airports like Heathrow. More direct services would be useful. It is handy for Glasgow City outside...

Glasgow Airport is not at all bad. For a small airport it serves a great number of destinations and is home to airlines like British Airways, British Midland, Air Canada and Continental. It is nice and clean and (generally) not too busy, so it is not too bad to fly from. There are problems though...

Local, dont need to travel to england

still fairly small compared to Manchester

The airport is just beside the M8 motorway about 8 miles out of Glasgow so is great to get to by car. There are 5 different parking areas if you leave your car but all at the usual high rates. Public transport is not too good though. There is no train station and buses are not so often in early...
