Special MONAS experience

Advantages: location, architecture, surrounding environment
Disadvantages: the wicked guard

Jakarta?' and 'Climate of Jakarta - Do you love hot climate?' are quoted from my Hotel Ambhara Jakarta review) The National Monument Tower (Indonesian: Monumen Nasional - MONAS) This MONAS tower is a 450 ft (137 m) tall tower located in Central Jakarta, symbolising the fight for Indonesia's independence. Construction of the tower began in 1961 and finished in 1975. On its top, there is a shape of flame. The design of the monument is meant to combine elements of masculine and feminine. The design based on Lingga-Yoni, the symbol of fertility in ancient Hindu-Javanese belief. The phallic shaft comes toward the ground and is engulfed by square base meant to symbolise fertility. The monument body was made of steel and concrete covered with Italian white marble. On the top of the tower there's a square terrace that can be reach by ...

Beautiful Hotel right on sea front

Advantages: good location, lovely hotel, good food and atsmosphere
Disadvantages: N/A

The Isle of Man was the place I spent most of my summer holidays with my family when I was younger and I have great memories. Now I have a family of my own I decided that we should go and visit the Isle of Man as I had not been there in about 20 years or so. We got a great deal on active hotels and stayed at the Empress Hotel for five nights. The hotel is situated right on the sea front and there are fabulous views just sitting in the lobby looking out. It is very impressive both inside and outside. The hotel decor inside is very rich in taste. The bedrooms are nice and spacious and most importantly clean. They provide tea and coffee making facilities, tv all the usual things you would find in a hotel. For dining you have a good choice if you just want to stay in the hotel, they have a choice of two restaurants. During our stay ...

The Most Beautiful Glen In Scotland!

Advantages: Fantastic Scenery, Lots Of Wildlife
Disadvantages: The Midges, Difficult To Get To

Glen Affric has been described by many writers of Scottish Books as "the most beautiful Glen in Scotland." It is a place that I have visited many times and having seen this place at first hand and also many other Glens in Scotland I will not try and dispute this claim. THE LOCATION Glen Affric lies on the A831 just 24 miles to the West of Inverness, 15 miles from Drumnadrochit, and 65 miles to the East of Fort William. GLEN AFFRIC Access to Glen Affric is via a single track Road that leaves the A831 at Fasnakyle Power Station near Cannich. This Road initially follows the River Affric and then eventually runs alongside the shores of Loch Beinn a' Mheadhoin. It is a dead end Road that continues for 5 miles so your return journey will be back along this same route. Glen Affric is an example of one of the largest surviving ...
