I currently live in Stourport on Severn in the heart of Worcestershire and recently had some distant relatives come to visit for the weekend and we needed somewhere for them to stay as our house just wasn?t big enough to accommodate the whole family. In the end we decided to book a couple of rooms at the Oakleigh GuestHouse as I had heard good reviews on the place from friends.
~Location~
Oakleigh GuestHouse is situated right in the heart of Stourport on Severn town centre so is in a perfect location to access all the local amenities. However it is situated far enough away from the main High Street so that you don?t get the noise from the pubs on a Friday and Saturday Night.

Driving up towards the guesthouse the first thing that is obvious is that this is a beautiful area. The views from the top go right across the town and amongst the rolling hills of the area. The Cameron highlands ...

I generally use ActiveHotels.com to make my hotel bookings as they seem to be the ones who offer the cheapest prices as well as customer reviews on each place.
The main reasons I chose the Phoenix GuestHouse over other possibilities were the price, location, whether ensuite rooms were available and whether children were welcome as guests. I shall talk about these points later in my review.
The booking process was very straight forward as anyone who has used activehotels.com will know. You simply enter the dates you wish to stay (in my case this was the last ...
