The Best Western Gleneagles describes itself as been located in a chic area of Torquay which is about 12 min taxi ride from the station, It boasts 41 modern rooms many of which have ocean views and all of which have private balconies, all rooms are tastefully designed with en suite bathroom, TV, hairdryer and hot drinks refreshment tray. Prices can vary depending on the time of year you visit this hotel and if any special offers are present.
I myself was attending a trade show in Torquay and required a smoking room of which I was informed this hotel has 11 such rooms for those wishing to smoke, the rest of the hotel is of course non smoking to comply with regulations. This was a prime reason for choosing Gleneagles for my Torquay hotel as many other hotels are totally non smoking.

The Ross hotel is a boutique 4* hotel in the heart of Killarney town centre. I was here on a work trip at the very end of April and this was one of my favourite hotels of the trip. The majority of hotels in this area are quite traditional in décor but, the Ross is completely the opposite! It is very funky and as soon as you enter the lobby you can't help being impressed by the bright green, pink and black décor. Advantages: Clean and great packages provided by the hotel Disadvantages: The location if you haven't got a car
The Castlerosse was the last hotel I stayed at during my work trip to Ireland. It is a 3* hotel that is located in Killarney located overlooking it's own golf course. I wasn?t sure how much I was going to like this hotel as compared to the others it seemed of a lower standard and not a choice I would normally go for in terms of its style. It definitely wasn?t a hotel I would choose myself but, as this was a work trip I don?t get much say on where I will normally be staying!
Location:
The Castlerosse is located just outside of Kerry town centre. It is quite easy to drive in and out of the centre in less than 5 minutes but, it would be a bit of a walk should you not have a car with you. The hotel is right on the ring of Kerry outskirts and is definitely and ideal choice if you want a base to explore this region ...
