Advantages: Great family run hostel with an 'At Home' feel Disadvantages: Quite small
Globe Trekkers Hostel in Hokianga New Zealand is a family run business, it is a small friendly hostel in the most beautiful setting and only a short walk from the beach. Hokianga is a small harbour town We arrived in Hokianga by Magic Bus and where pleasantly surprised that the hostel owner came to personally greet us at the bus stop. She ... ...have one dorm room at Globe Trekkers and the rest are double rooms. The owner explained that they have a lot of couples coming to stay and they quite often come back year after year, and I can understand why. Three bathrooms where available for us to use and it was so nice to go into an individual bathroom rather than shared facilities like in many of the hostels.
