Having flown with Globespan on many occasions I have had nothing but praise for all aspects of their service.
They are usually an excellent, no frills airline that have good flight times, are punctual and have an acceptable level of customer service given that I had no bad experiences with them previously.
On the outbound Palma flight there was a published delay in of 60 minutes which given the amount of times I have flown with them was unexpected but acceptable. The issue was that they had no ground staff at check in advising of the delay. At the departure gate they were not willing to give out any information on the departure time.The delayed departure time had passed and the staff were not willing or able to give out information as to when the flight would depart. Eventually the flight took off nearly 2 hours late.
On the inbound Glagsow flight the situation was worse. On arriving at the airport for the 1930 flight the departure board showed that the flight was expected to depart at 0130 the following morning. I had checked the schedule via the internet prior to leaving my hotel and the flight was not showing as delayed.
Again their was no representative of Globespan at the check in to advise as to what the situation was and indeed some 100+ passengers were left to try and figure it out for themselves. The next update we recieved was a change to the departure board showing that the flight had been delayed untill 0210. Yet again no sign of Globespan representatives so I decided to check what other budget airlines had flights going out that evening.
Luckily I managed to get onto an XLAir flight that left at 1930 arriving into Glasgow at the same time as the Globespan flight would have.
I made my way to the Globepsan Service desk at Glasgow and to my surprise I found that their were friends/relatives who were there to meet the Glasgow flight. Yet again the desk was empty and there was no sight of any Globespan employees to give any advice.
Hopefully this is a one off but I will post a further review when I travel with Globepsan again at the end of this month.
