Flight from teesside to faro 15 may 07one hour delay due to fault on door Flight from faro to teesside 22 may 07 took off on time flighing at reduced speed for 30 minutes only to head back to faro due to a fault on the wing flaps, then told we would have to fly around for an hour to use up fuel for safe landing. Landed back at faro about 13.00 fire crews either side. Plane checked over no fault found refuel signed off by engineers ready to head for runway new fault engines shut down. At this point pilot recomended passengers return to departure lounge about 14.30, we were told by airprt staff to show our boarding ticket at the airport cafes to be given complentary food and drinks only the cafes had not been informed all items to be payed for. No information or contact until 18.00 when we were told to go to gate 22/23 this was when we were told there was spare seats on either Glasgow or Edinburgh flights if we wanted saying there would be free transport back to Teesside, there was no one to tell us what would happen if we did not take one of these flights. We left Faro at 19.30 for Edinburgh, the flight staff were very apologetic even the pilot made several announcements insuring us that arrangments were being made to get us back to tesside. At Edinburgh airport once again no one knew anything about the teeside passengers, fortunately the pilot and crew walked by and asked if we were alright we said no one knew anything. The pilot then phoned someone and told us a bus was on its way and they all left. 15 mins later the airport manager told us the bus was at Glasgow and was picking us up on route, as by now it was midnight and with commitments the following day and not sure if there was a bus at all we took a taxi back to tesside were our car had been left this cost us £350.00 and 12 hours late.
