Hi my name is Gillian, I am 40 years old, (but very young at heart) have 3 daughters & work with children who are in residential care (which I love). I love to go on holiday and eat in nice restaurants and enjoy fine wines!!

This was by far the nicest hotel I have had the pleasure of staying in on holiday. Gloria Palace sits high on a cliff overlooking the ocean. On our arrival at 11pm the dining room was still set up for ourselves and another 4 guests and it was lovely to sit and eat some food and have a couple of drinks after our long journey. Rooms were immaculate with a huge bed, sitting area and fitted wardrobes the length of one wall. The bathroom was again immaculate with bath shower toilet & double sinks. Staff were very friendly and accomodating especially the barman in the cocktail lounge who was so funny he could have been the entertainment! The decor in the hotel was amazing, like you had walked into a palace, marbled floors, and gold everywhere. The reception area was huge with numerous small shops, huge seating area with big comfy settees where you could sit and have a drink or a coffee. A huge balcony overlooked a lower floor which was the entertainment and dancing area at night. The spa facilities were wonderful with a wide range of treatments available some of which I had never heard of, like a chocolate wrap, (which I had). It was amazing and prepared my skin well for the sun. We were all inclusive and had a huge choice at all mealtimes of every wonderful food you can imagine. Even sitting out by the pool at lunchtime where the chefs prepare all your food in front of you which always looks, smells and tastes delicious. Cocktails made up by the friendly barman were excellent and varied. The best part of all was the 2 huge swimming pools which had panoramic views over the ocean. Taxis were always available at the front of the hotel, but should you wish to walk to Puerto Rico you could take the glass lift down the side of the cliff and enjoy a 2 minute walk along the promenade. All in all an amazing holiday and can't wait to go back. Would recommend to anyone. People we talked to had paid up to £1000 per person for their week all inclusive, but we booked through teletext over the phone and got a brilliant deal for just over £400 each Well worth a visit

Welcome to ciao sounds like a nice place, a clear concise review, but could have done with a bit more detail, like price etc. Read around similar reviews for tips!
