since 1995 i have been returning to puerto rico for my annual holiday with my children. This year i surprised my partner for his 50th birthday by taking him to the hotel i have watched being built, for a bit of luxury, spending a fortun and leaving the teenagers behind. All was well till i had my credit card stolen and got no help from the hotel. That night was my partners birthday and we planned to celebrate with cocktails and champagne, but sadly the childrens club at the gloria palace goes on till 11.30pm and the entertainment for us oldies starts with a very sad act around 10.45pm with the entertainers telling the parents to remove the children from the dance floor, something they do not do and they run riot round the tables, knocking over drinks and blowing out the candles. The entrtainers speak in spanish and when they do attempt english you cannot understand them, even the 5 year olds in the kids club get a film such as mary poppins in spainish with english subtittles. All i can say is for real fun and entertainment leave the hotel
