Goan again…it was that good ! My wife and I went to Goa earlier this year. We avoided the north of state as we didn’t fancy the nightlife we were after a more relaxing holiday. We stayed in a place called Bogmalo which was dismissed by the Lonely Planet, how wrong they were. Bogmalo is about 10 minutes from the airport. It’s location is pretty central and it’s relatively quick, cheap and easy to get around the state. The village itself is good. There is Manoli’s tailors where you can get anything you want made, if your are struggling for inspiration you can always browse through the Next Directory. There are number of beach shacks serving good quality food – amongst the best were Joets, John’s and the Full Moon. The bus service into Vasco is reliable and there are connections to all the major towns in Goa. The beach was clean, the people friendly and a good location.
