We booked a holiday with Going Places earlier this year for departure in April. We used them because of their high profile name thinking they would be competant and experienced...what a mistake. I am disabled with great trouble walking. They first booked our holiday and did not include the transfers from StanfordAirport, about fifty miles away to the hotel even though we weretold clearly that the tranfers were included. When we returned home from booking the holiday and looked in the brochure, we found their mistake. Even though they clearly told us the transfers were included at the time of booking, whwn we phoned to quiery it they told us we would have to pay £75 extra for the transfers. I pointed out that had we not noticed their blatent mistake, we could have been stranded fifty miles away from our destination. With much arguement and no hint of an apology from them, they agreed to pay half of these costs. A few weeks after booking we checked our documents and found that they had charged us full adult price for our grandson who we were taking with us instaed of their guaranteed price of £149 for children. We again quieried this. We were given a paltry £60 refund. After many letters and phone calls stating our disapproval of their treatment of us and of being spoken to rudely on one occassion by the shop manager, and their inexperienced staff making such blunderous errors we gave up. It became our opinion that Going Places is quick to take your money then quick to forget you and treat you badly. Our holiday cost nearly £2,500 and had us dreading what we were to expect when we arrived at our destination.
