I have never felt compelled to write about a travel agency until today. I was very lucky to find Going Places to book my holiday but I learnt the hard way, I had spent two hours trundling from one to the next and found the other agencies to be useless.
I wasnt an easy customer, I wanted to go to an exact park in France, I had two weeks to play with but the departure had to be a Sunday crossing.
I knew of three companies who used the park but not the name of the other two.
I had drawn a blank and had in fact resigned to another week in Cornwall when I noticed Going Places offered free refreshments when requesting a quote...enough to grab my attention.
Well a nice cup of tea and my woes about not going away when the aassistant found all the available sites I asked for, was able to offer a really good deal and even got it cheaper than all the others, plus a free upgrade to a posher chalet all for taking out their insurance which again on a special offer will last me all year!!!
The lass wrote everything down for me so I was able to answer all of hubbies questions, she even printed out site map reference online sites and details of the area around the camp site.
They even booked the euros so all I have to do is pay for them and collect them with my tickets which will be in a FREE leather holiday holder!!!
They offer deals all the time and I even get a voucher for 25.00 off my next booking, which cant be bad.
The people in the shop were all friendly and even helped occupy my 2.5 yr old whilst I was being seen to, quite a feat in itself, but they had crayons, and a treasure chest of toys which were good quality and new, not staff rejects from home. They even went out and bought my daughter an ice cream as she heard the van and it was a very hot day.
So did I win the lottery and book a world cruise for all this service, NOPE just 700.00 holiday in a cravan in France for 7 people, I felt like royality and never has booking a holiday been such a stressfree experieince.
So I have learnt my lesson and will always return to Going Places, I only hope you dont have to suffer like I do and will make them first on your list.

Although I usually book foreign hols on teletext, we did book our last hol through Going Places. It turned out we had a pretty dreadful hol (thanks to Airtours). Going Places have been very supportive & have backed up my claim to Airtours for compensation.
