I did a weeks work exspeience here for public relations and i dont think i will be asking to book my holiday with them-EVER. they do not care really about there clients. i couple wanted to book a holiday but the shop was far to busy so they wrote thier details on a enquire form. later that evening the travel agents were like ' do u want this couple?' 2nd travel agent 'i dont want any more work i cant be arsed i wana go home early' and soon afterwards 1st travel agent 'lets pretend we never saw it' and then it goes in the bin. none of thier information brochures in the cabinets are organised. they send me to the other going places store down the other end of town because they couldnt find a particular brochure. that client left with impatience because it took the other going places HALF AN HOUR to find!! and she came down herself to get the brochure. they're not as enthustic and helpful as you might think, they taught me 'the face'. to make yourself look happy and interested when really they couldnt be arsed. They asked me to ring a client and tell him that his tickets were ready for collection. they specifically gave me his mobile number as they were a surprise for his wife. and guess wot!? they gave me the wrong number!! i had to fobb it off. so unorganised. oh which reminds me!! how many lost files can one little travel agents have? while sorting out thier filing cabinets as they were 'too busy' playing on thier computers i found at least 3 missing enquiries. that must be so much hassle for the buyers of that holiday. i imagine they would probably have had to enquire again or maybe even repay! or even not get the holiday. but to finish on a good comment: travel agents are a good laugh. my work exsperience was fun rather work lol.
