Great Holiday!

I stayed at the Golden Donaire Hotel in La Pineda last year with my partner , and enjoyed it so much we booked again for this year shortly after we got home! This is a modern, clean and good value for money hotel with 8 floors and 400+ rooms, located in La Pineda which is much quieter than its busier neighbour, Salou. The hotel is around a 25 min drive from Reus airport.
Our room contained a double bed and a single bed, built in wardrobe, ... ...bath, overhead shower, toilet, sink and bidet. Patio doors opened out onto a spacious balcony containing table and chairs ( the sea view is highly recommended). The cleanliness of this hotel I cannot rate highly enough as it was spotless! the cleaners worked around the clock - still working hard at 11pm at night! The rooms were cleaned every day and nothing was too much trouble - we asked for extra pillows and the maid brought them right away. more

The rooms were cleaned every day and nothing was too much trouble - we asked for extra pillows and the maid brought them right away.
The meals were fantastic, always a big selection and also an Italian Corner. Beware you will put on weight as the desserts were to die for! We never had to queue for the restaurant, all you had to do was wait a little for the initial opening rush to die down, then you could go in and get a table right away. The night we arrived,our flight had been delayed and the restaurant was closing but the manager kindly let us in to have a meal . All the hotel staff were courteous and friendly we had no problems.
The best thing about the hotel is its location - right on the beach! Just walking out the door and right on to the beach was heaven! The beach is very long and plenty of space for everyone. The water park is 5 mins walk from the hotel, a small supermarket right opposite the hotel and local shops and bars also a 5 min walk. Port Aventura is not far from here and buses stop right outside the hotel regularly. One of the hightlights of our holiday was a trip to Barcelona, which is a fantastic city. Our trip also included a visit to the magic fountain show on the evening, which was fabulous and not to be missed! Watching the huge jets of water and colours dancing in time to Freddie Mercury's 'Barcelona' was an experience I'll never forget.
The hotel entertainment wasn't bad either, a different show every night or you could walk along to the local bars along the sea front if you fancied a change. All in all this was a wonderful hotel and holiday and I would recommend it to anyone. Can't wait to go back! You can book this hotel via Thomsons.

The Golden Donaire Park Hotel is a well run family hotel. It has a great beachside location and it is excellent for families and couples looing for a value-for-money holiday.
The hotel is 1.5km from shops, bars and restaurants of La Pineda. This only takes approx 8-10 mins to walk leisurely.
The hotel has a decent sized pool and also a separate children's pool. There are plenty of sunloungers for the sunworshippers.
Meals are taken in air-conditioned ... ...plenty of food and a variety of choices. You can go up as often as you like to fill your plate. Highchairs are also available. There is also a snack bar open at lunchtime which is situated in the main bar and also by the pool.
There is evening entertainment most nights and daily happy hour in the bar.
The rooms are 2, 3 or 4 bedded with satellite TV. It states in the brochure that a deposit is required for the use of the TV, but we were not asked ...

In my opinion this hotel has got all the standards to become the no#1. From my point of view I see this hotel as outstanding in hospitality, quality, cleanliness, and a family atmosphere where you feel secured and cozy. I think that everyone can know about this experience by stepping in to this hotel for once and create an indelible mark in your hearts. I personally feel that this hotel is a worth to visit. Once visited will never take a decision ...
