away from the centre may claim otherwise, GoldenSands is, in my mind, essentially just one long road. It starts with an Ampitheatre and ends, several kilometres later, with a holiday village, with a wealth of all things touristy in between. The road is partly pedestrianised, and runs alongside the sea, making it akin to Blackpool's promenade but with slightly fewer bad drivers and 'Kiss Me Quick' hats. We stayed in GoldenSands for a week and very rarely strayed off this one road, as everything you need for a relaxing holiday is pretty much right there.
By day, the promenade is busy but not packed. By night it fills up drastically and it can be hard to move quickly, which unfortunately gives the leaflet touts chance to grab hold of you. Having established they all seemed to speak both German and English, we promptly decided to speak ...

I have already done a review about Blackpool, and I absolutely love the place, we went to Blackpool two years ago on a family holiday, myself husband and three kids. We booked our holiday through The Belfast Telegraph travel agentsand we went through Ulster Bus tours, the price was £800 approx this included traveling expenses and the hotel.(Bed, breakfast and evening meal). The hotel was the Elgin and we were told that this was a great hotel for families.

We arrived at our hotel at about 7.30pm and had to que at the reception to get our keys this I didnt mind but our dinner was at 7.45pm and we still had to get our luggage to our room, we got our luggage sorted and went down for dinner, the food was beautiful and the service from the waiters was fantastic.

Choice Hotels in Blackpool run 3 hotels - The Claremont (near the North Pier), the Talk of The North (near South Pier) and the Cliffs Hotel (North Promenade just up from Gynn Square).
My family and I have stayed at the Cliffs Hotel on 6 occasions, ranging from weekend breaks to full weeks. Why? The hotel is large and well appointed - it has a 1920's feel about the facade and interior and is very clean and spacios. There are 5 bars and a large resturant. The food is excellent with a very good selection - the staff are very helpful and friendly.
