Advantages: Read on and find out. Disadvantages: It is a long way from the rest of the country.....
I have now been a postgraduate student in the Department of Psychology at the University of Newcastle for the last two years and within this review I am going to sell you the virtues of coming here (mostly)..... So if you're interested please do read on!
***The University***
>>>>>General Info
Newcastle is an old red brick University and consequently it has some of those old beautiful red brick parts that they just don't build anymore (this is where you will find architecture and the buisness school). It has a fabulous reputation and I can vouch for this personally, I think it is just great. Things round here are also changing fast, just in the last couple of years that I have been here they have built a brand new very funky looking Georgraphy department and the Northern Institute for Cancer Resarch. Things are changing fast ...
Advantages: simple fun bright Disadvantages: none!
I bought these for my daughter now that she's started teething and they have fast become her favourite toy despite being very simple and cheap compred to many of the other toys she has!
These links are simple. They consist of one large black and white plastic ring which then has a series of other rings that can snap onto this main ring. These links are all different colours and textures. THere are 10 links in total and they have smooth ones, bobbly ones, ones with ridges on and ones with dots on. They are orange and green and red and purple and many others.
What is great about these is that they are very light so it's realy easy for Baby Hope to hold onto them and play with them herself. She is able to hold onto them and jiggle them around, because they are plastic and all linked on they make a very nice rattly noise which ...
Advantages: The nightlife, the shopping, everything!! Disadvantages: None!! A weekend prob isnt long enough!
come into newcastle from the south. Its a really cool bar, in an impressive building (this bar is good whatever night you go) Stereo is just behind the Pitcher and Piano, and on a Sunday night it is Funky House. It is a truly fantastic night out- open till 1am, its the only place i'd recommend on a Sunday night. It gets really busy (and really hot) so i'd go at about half 10 or you'll have to queue for ages. there's a good mix of people, with no dress code (dress to impress, but i wouldnt go in a smart shirt, everyone dresses quite funky in here).
Overall, Newcastle has a fantastic nighlife, and there is something for every night of the week. If you are up for the weekend, you cant really go wrong, everywhere will be busy, but be prepared to spend quite a lot on a night out!!
SHOPPING
