Advantages: Friendly staff, quick email replies, website in English, 24 hours access, located at the seafront Disadvantages: kettle would have been nice especially for people who decide to stay for longer periods.
I have stayed in the Hotel du Golf for one night only when travelling to Europe. I would not say Calais is a great holiday destination as we all know it is not, but if you are looking for a place to stay overnight and then get ahead with your journey, I don't think there is a better place than Hotel du Golf in this price range. Rooms are spacious and feel fresh, with TV, fridge, stove and a microwave. WiFi internet connection throughout the building. Staff is nice and helpfull.
Hotel itself is located right at the seafront, so as you may expect there are restaurants around. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the town centre, meaning no need to drive which is good especially if you want to enjoy local nightlife.
I must say I've been expecting much less for the money they have charged, thus, overall I'm very happy with my stay and if ...

They boast the consistency of their values. They are dedicated to both their individuality and quality. The buildings are built by local builders and use the majority of local materials.

In fact the only transport we could see ...
Advantages: beautiful gardens free to visit, good location, very clean and polite staff Disadvantages: expensive internet
four that is.
Anyway back to the hotel, it is named the grand view gardens because out the back is a huge garden which was infact used for a television show in china! It is free for those who stay in the hotel but if your not staying in there you have to pay. We spent a good couple of hours walking round it all. there is a huge man made lake in the middle with lots of trees and little chinese buildings and ornaments around. There is also a small animal 'zoo' which was quite nice. Peacocks, rabbits, guinea pigs, deers, goats, monkeys etc. It was quite sad though because all the animals were so hungry and the staff sell food to visitors so you can feed them - so we did - and most of it! it was gone in a few seconds. Definalty worth visiting the gardens as they area beautiful, and in the evening there are shows. We didnt stay in the evening ...
