Advantages: Suspense built well in parts, a bit funny at times. Disadvantages: Poor script, very flat film on the whole, lacks overall energy and excitement.
more enjoyable to watch than the comedy elements, and had this been the key focus of the film then 'The Cottage' could well have been a reasonable British horror film. As it turns out though, the film was never really too much of either, and whilst there were a few funny moments and some excellent elements of suspense; all in all there's a lot about this film not to like and many moments where the film just doesn't really work.
In terms of quality of cast I feel that Paul Andrew Williams did quite a good job with 'The Cottage'. I always enjoyed watching Reece Shearsmith in the League of Gentlemen, and it was quite nice to see Andy Serkis present here also, a man probably best known by most for having played Gollum in 'The Lord of the Rings' films. As for Jennifer Ellison though? Well, as Paul Andrew Williams wanted her role to be played ...

Advantages: Some funny parts, alot of gore. Disadvantages: Jennifer Ellisons accent.

Introduction
Maybe you haven't heard of 'The Cottage', it hasn't had a major release anywhere across the world (including the U.S.), but I watched it close to the release date of the 14th of March. On leaving the cinema I couldn't decide on which way my opinions were going; did l like it, or didn't I? Hopefully this review will help me to decide. Firstly, it is a fairly low budget film; and I can only describe it a horror comedy. Filmed mainly on the Isle of Man and Yorkshire, you can imagine the kind of scenes this film has.
Plot
Two brothers think up an ingenious plan get rich quick, they kidnap a crime lord's daughter and hold her ransom in a remote cottage. From the beginning it's a disaster, the kidnap turns into a botch job as the amateurs make mistake after mistake. Upon entering ...
Advantages: Satisfactory ending Disadvantages: Mediocre acting by the leads, completely UNNECESSARY songs!
I had never heard of Krishna Cottage (a Hindi language film) before I sat down to watch it so I had no expectations either way, good or bad. Knowing that it Sohail Khan was billed as the lead didn?t give me any high expectations of the film as I?ve never really been a fan of his.
PLOT SUMMARY
The film starts with a professor donating a book he?s written to a college entitled ?Nine and a half stories? (that?s the English translation of the book?s actual title). When asked why it?s not ten stories he says it?s because the last story is unfinished. The principal of the college locks the book away in a storage room and tells his staff not to let anyone near it.
Some time later Manav comes back to college after an apparent absence of 4 years with his fiancée Shanti. That same day Manav meets and is highly intrigued by new ...
