Revell P-47 Thunderbolt - A Cracking Little Kit

Advantages: Fabulous Attention to Detail. Delight to Assemble. Excellent Value.
Disadvantages: Fiddly bits may confound younger modellers.

INTRODUCING THE ?JUG? The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was the biggest and heaviest fighter plane to serve with the United States Army Air Force (USAAF) during World War II. It entered active service in 1942, making it one of the few combat aircraft to have been designed, developed, manufactured and flown in action during the War itself (the United States officially entered World War II after the infamous Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on 7th December 1941). This single-seat escort fighter and fighter bomber, powered by a mighty, turbo-charged Pratt & Whitney radial piston engine, boasted a maximum speed of 467mph at 32,000 feet, a cruising speed of 300mph, and internal fuel tanks giving it a range of 800 miles. Fully loaded, the ?Jug? as it was known to its pilots (short for ?juggernaut?) weighed over 20,000lbs, carried six ...

Now 47

Advantages: A good selection of music for all
Disadvantages: None

I have 4 of the Now's including Now 47 (Now that's what i call music). I also have 2 of the Now Millennium series 1983 & 1993. I thought the Millennium series was a great idea and i wish i had of brought more of them. A few songs on the Now 47 are All Saints- Pure shores, Spice Girls- Holler, Architechs- Body Groove, Craig David- 7 Days, Kyile Minogue- On a night like this, Storm- Time to burn, Azzido Da Bass- Doom's night, B Boyz- Who Let The Dogs Out, Sisqo- Unleash The Dragon, Melaine B- Tell Me and Gabrielle- Should I stay, the reason for naming these songs is coz some are fave's of mine. I found both CD's 1 & 2 to be the same whereas normally you find one CD better than the other. They make really excellent compilations albums. The type of music on the Now albums is pop, rock, chart, garage and dance so suits all really ...

Toshiba RDXV47 - An absolute dream!!

Advantages: Combines all DVD/VCR features into one very attractive neat package
Disadvantages: None that I have found to date!!

WOW?????..and I really mean WOW, with a capital W??.O??..W!!!! I've been looking to upgrade my domestic DVD player/recorder capabilities for some time but have always been put off by the prices of the all singing all dancing combi units. I've watched the few products available with interest thinking prices would drop but this did not happen. Then, out of the blue, I stumbled across the Toshiba RD-XV45 which combined a DVD player/recorder, VCR and hard disc drive. The price was dramatically lower than the few other 3 in 1's on the market (Panasonic & JVC I believe) and so I started researching if it was as good as it seemed. The one drawback seemed to be that it would only support the DVD-R/RW format. However, the RD-XV47 then sneeked (or is that snuck??) unobtrusively onto the market and it's specs showed that it will support both ...
