Finally a restaurant that does what it says on the label. Run by two exiled Kiwis, this place simply serves gourmet burgers. Everything on your plate will be top notch from bottom bun to top sesame seed and inbetween.

Advantages: The best burgers you'll have this side of the Atlantic; good veggie options too Disadvantages: Can be a bit noisy; not good for romantic dates with people w/no sense of humour
...Kiwis, this place simply serves gourmet burgers. Everything on your plate will be top notch from bottom bun to top sesame seed and inbetween.
You might think that deciding what to eat is simpler in a place that only serves burgers, not watered down with crowd pleasers for those who disapprove of such common food. However, the selection of burgers can be daunting. Faced with a multitude of relishes as well as variations on the regular beef patty, ... ...overcome by multiple visits.
The kiwi burger appears to be a popular choice with diners, possibly due to the slightly idiosyncratic serving of a fried egg with it, which gives it a bruncy feel.
Otherwise, I warmly recommend the lamb burger if you don't eat beef. It comes with lovely and seemingly home made mint relish.
The vegetarian goats cheese / portobello mushroom 'burgers' are also lovely.
If it all becomes too much, the plain beef burgers, ...

Advantages: The best damn burgers ever tasted Disadvantages: get's busy on weekends
...nastiest food around, along comes Gourmet Kitchen and suddenly I'm in love with burgers again.
The concept is simple, a burger is all about the meat, and these burgers have some serious meat. The burgers are so meaty that there's no need for chips or any side orders, although you can order chips if you MUST have them, nice chips too. They do all sorts of burgers, they are all around £7-£9 which some consider pricey, although I guess this is because ... ...I have now aquired great gourmet kitchen skills, and know exactly how to control one, where to bite and how to get the most satisfaction from one. It has infact changed the way I eat burgers, I used to just tear away at them. I could destroy any burger given to me
But you have to RESPECT the Gourmet burger, it's a serious peice of food! Another great thing about Gourmet Kitchen is that all their resturants are fairly small, these means that they ...

Advantages: NONE Disadvantages: poor quality meat, plain taste, bones in the meat
...at Thurrock- Essex.
This gourmet burger restaurant flagged a warning as soon as we walked in, and were asked to order at the till & pay before eating.
As a frequent diner- I have to say, in all my experiances of dining out- when they want you to pay before you eat- there is never a happy ending.
This was no exception.
Basically I found three pieces of bone in my burger (maybe gourmet to a pig), one piece actually hurt my tooth as I took a bite ... ...eating- and felt too sick to carry on.
I told the server, and she sent the manager over- he did not seem too surprised, he said he needed the bit of bone to send off for testing (yeah right), and could he take my address so head office could write to me and send me free vouchers- which in a funny way he added to ' and I would not have the beef again- try the chicken'
He agreed that bone in a burger was not gourmet.
No letter, no vouchers, and ...

Advantages: Yummyfantastic! Disadvantages: Bit on the expensive side for a burger
A place that really does put McDonalds and Burger King to shame. Fair enough, £5-£7 for a burger may be a bit pricey, but boy, you struggle to get the mouth wide enough just to take a bite!
It really is just burgers and chips, oh and a salad just to give you the impression you have a healthy option to choose from.
But lets get serious, if you are looking for a burger that makes you laugh at the golden M, or snigger at flame grilled excuses for ... ...wih salad, you don't make friends with salad....)
I'd never seen or heard of this particular company before, but when we heard they were setting up shop in Fulham....it sounded good!
The first time we visited, i was impressed with the trendy decor and overall appearance of the place. The staff were friendly and smart which i guess wasn't a suprise as it had just opened. (But as i've visited a few times since, they seem like a good bunch!)
Not ...

Advantages: Great taste, great ingredients, Friendly NZ atosphere Disadvantages: Nothing
My boss first told me about this restaurant as he is a New Zealander and the restaurant was developed by three New Zealanders and also has the input of a New Zealand chef who all missed their home cooked food. He was raving about the burgers so I decided to give them a try. There are over 20 branches now in London but I went to the one at Greenwich. It was a small restaurant but we were able to find a table quite quickly, I think there was seating ... ...fresh burgers to choose from, with lots of great ingredients such as beetroot, cranberry, avocado etc. I went with a friend who is vegetarian and they do a really good selection of vege options too which is quite rare for any restaurant, let alone a burger restaurant so my friend was really pleased. One thing that has really stood out in my mind, when I ordered my burger, the Kiwiburger they gave a percentage of the price to charity (the restoration ...
