My boss first told me about this restaurant as he is a New Zealander and the restaurant was developed by three New Zealanders and also has the input of a New Zealand chef who all missed their home cooked food. He was raving about the burgers so I decided to give them a try. There are over 20 branches now in London but I went to the one at Greenwich. It was a small restaurant but we were able to find a table quite quickly, I think there was seating upstairs also. There are quite a few different types of fresh burgers to choose from, with lots of great ingredients such as beetroot, cranberry, avocado etc. I went with a friend who is vegetarian and they do a really good selection of vege options too which is quite rare for any restaurant, let alone a burger restaurant so my friend was really pleased. One thing that has really stood out in my mind, when I ordered my burger, the Kiwiburger they gave a percentage of the price to charity (the restoration of the Cutty Sark) so I thought that was a really topical and kind thing to do. You order your burger at a counter so there is no waitress service as such but then you go and sit down and they do bring your food to the table. It's fast food, but quality fast food in my opinion. These restaurants are definitely gaining in popularity and winning awards for their food which is always good - They won the Best Burger - Harden's London Restaurants 2006 and Best Cheap Eats - Observer Food Monthly Annual Food Awards 2005. I definitely agree with that as I had a burger, bowl of chips to share and a lovely glass of freshly squeezed apple juice and it was approximately £10. The also have tomato ketchup in a container shaped liked a tomato which I just think is a nice little gimmick and fun for the kids. All in all a great burger and somewhere you should definitely try. Definitely better than a Burger King or McDonald's and all the family will love it.

Advantages: Location (W. Hampstead branch), value for money, and service Disadvantages: Maybe a little pricey overall, but it is London for this branch!
