...hey! I stayed at the Eden from August 29th 2008 for 7 nights. This hotel used to be part of Thomson Super Family group, however this year it is still a thomson hotel but no longer part of the superfamily group. Im not sure why. ...is no parking at the Eden so the car was left somewhere along the very narrow road where the entrance to the Eden is. First impressions were good. Large reception area, with mini-mart just outside - prices were reasonable and stocked pretty much everything you would need. Advantages: Plenty lifts in hotel easy access to main road.
Disadvantages: rather hilly

Had a great holiday here with the family. The hotel sits high on the cliff side but you are able to access the road via a glass lift which looks over the sea. We had a fantastic time here. Food was great and the staff very friendly particularly towards the children. Cleanliness was excellent and we really enjoyed the fudge sweeties and the reception. ...hills and, of course, the Altamar Apartments (where we were staying) are right at the top. When we arrived it was very early morning and still dark, with no shops open. The hotel staff were all very friendly and check-in was done quickly and efficiently with the chance to purchase bottles of water at the reception. The reception area was beautiful and clean. A very large area with a door at either end and open windows all around keeping it lovely ...
...complaints as such with the Altamar Apartments. They were well run and very clean and friendly. As soon as people left their apartments for their journey home you would see the cleaners and maintenance men in straight away cleaning, painting and repairing. I was always up early, usually about 8.00am, when I would have a walk up to the supermarket for fresh baguettes for the breakfast and already the complex was alive with cleaning staff cleaning ... ...by cab or car from Altamar Hotel and is amazingly beautiful. Bus stop just outside reception, the same about taxis. Can strongly recommend this hotel to singles as night clubs are not far away as far as couples (lots of places to see), nice restaurants around and to families because of playground on open air. Advantages: beautiful building
Disadvantages: Hot food too cool

...bubbly. Very large spread out hotel and takes a little while to get bearings but fairly new and so easy for wheelchair/pushchair users to get around. Rooms large with lovely bathrooms and highest is 4th floor. Very pretty grounds and swimming pools are well maintained. Exceptionally clean hotel. Grand piano playing in the early evening before dinner. The dinner has two sittings, does not seem to have enough staff when full to serve drinks at table ...
...be on the cool side. Staff bring food from kitchen in plastic containers so time it reaches serving station not very hot. Freshly cooked fish is best bet and large amount of salads and sweets are replenished frequently. There is no outside area for having a drink in evening which is a shame.
