I have been to Gran Canaria twice now, once to Playa del Ingles and Puerto Rico, and both have been brilliant holidays, with all year round brilliant weather, I have been in the summer and I have also been at winter and both times it never went below 30c. THe tourist industry is rife, with shops at every turn selling cheap electronics, alcohol, cigarettes, perfume, and jewellery. The island is full of good restaurants all selling very cheap, high quality food. My favourite is chicken, sold for less than £3 and about the size of a whole chicken, with everything on the side. The beaches are gorgeous and waterparks are great, definetely a great holiday destination.
