We Stayed at the Club Amigo Atlantico from 17th-31st July 2005 with Sunset Holidays, a subsidiary of Thomas cook.
The stay cost a total of £1200 for two of us on a 3 star, all inclusive basis.
We had a great holiday, but I must note that to see real Cuba (which was not easy to do because of lack of public transport) you had to get out of the hotel and try and book trips: unfortunately with the travel companies.
Although we had a good time, there was an odd atmosphere because of the Cuban guards everywhere, who segregated the Cuban guests from the English and Canadians. Furthermore, we were allowed to use their facilities, but they weren't allowed to use ours. We think this caused some resentment.

by the government run venture GranCaribe Group and has 457 rooms and 15 suites. We paid £79 per person for a three night stay booked as part of a 14 night package. All in all the Nacional De Cuba offers a perfect introduction to the delights of Havana and I'd certainly return at the drop of a cigar and/or Mojito should I be lucky enough to visit Havana again.
The Convertible Peso was valued at around 1.87 against Sterling at the time of our stay.

This hotel is right in the middle of all the action in Magaluf.
We stayed here on a half board basis and really got value for money. The Flamboyan Caribe is 2 seperate buildings. The Flamboyan part is the hotel with the caribe part being appartments.
The hotel is situated facing onto Bananas and Car wash night clubs as well as being next door to a few pubs. Very handy for falling home after a late night.
However at the back end of the hotel is the beach. The hotel has private steps leaving the pool area which takes you direct on to the stunning, very clean beach.
The hotel itself is situated a bit off the main road. The reception area is very clean and friendly however the staff were not very good at understanding English. We were situated on the first floor, above the entrance and facing onto the main street. The first night ...
